Participating in the everyday life of the Centre, mainly giving a hand with the maintenance of the place (cooking, doing the laundry, cleaning, helping with the carpentry or gardening on a rotating basis, etc.). Personal care of residents who might need it (such as helping out to get dressed) is also a possible task, but only if you really feel prepared for doing it. An important part of your stay will be socialising with the community of the centre. The presence of international volunteers in the centre brings "fresh air" to the limited social life of its residents. They will be curious about your country and your culture. It is a good idea to bring photos, music or any material which might enable you to present yourself and where you are coming from. It will be rare for them to speak other languages than Spanish. Therefore good knowledge of it is very recommended. You have to take into account that you will be living in a therapeutic community. Following the guidelines that will be given at the beginning of the workcamp (such as those concerning timetable, punctuality, relationship among residents and volunteers, telephone calls, not smoking or drinking...) is an essential part of the therapeutic approach. BASIDA kindly requests you to do so. A team of professionals will be always there to back you up. Do not hesitate to ask them for advice. We count on your understanding and sensibility. A workshop on drugs and HIV, socio-medical approach: “Course on Comprehensive care for people in social exclusion”, is organised during the first week.
BASIDA is an NGO that provides medical and psychosocial support to HIV-positives, drug addicted people and others with special needs. Since 1990, it has opened three centres; all of them run by a multi-professional voluntary staff. One of these three centres is located in Aranjuez, a village located in Madrid County. The physical and psychological recovery as well as the social rehabilitation of Basida residents are being achieved thanks to close teamwork focused on proving to them that someone really cares for them. The Basida team tries to help those attending the centre, who for a long time have only experienced social exclusion, to regain hope and self-esteem. For more information you can take a look at BASIDA´s web page: www.basida.org. Precisely this camp has already taken place a few times. The experience has been very positive for everyone.
Trips to Aranjuez (a nice historical town), Toledo and Madrid will be possible one day in the week. Though the agenda will be very busy, you will certainly have every day a bit of time for yourself and surely on Sundays. Since the residents have limited permission to leave the Centre for recreational purposes, you would prove your solidarity towards them to check with the Director when it is more convenient to leave the Centre.
In the Centre there are rooms with beds for the volunteers. Meals will be taken with the residents in the common dining-room. There is also an outdoor swimming-pool and other sport facilities.

VIN’s Environmental and Conservation Programs raise community awareness of critical environmental issues and develop effective solutions. VIN runs various ecological projects that aim to conserve, promote, and protect the environment and culture while preventing, mitigating, and controlling water, land, and air pollution to enhance the health, safety, and welfare of current and future generations. We utilize permaculture for sustainable farming and have been teaching and implementing it since 2018. We believe that permaculture plays a vital role in restoring the entire ecosystem! Agriculture provides subsistence and employment for 80% of Nepal's population, accounting for approximately 39% of the total GDP. The sector's development is crucial for empowering those who rely on it and for the national economy. Since Nepal is in the Himalayan region, climate change has significantly impacted the country. Water sources are drying up, new types of moths and insects have emerged, and the timing of crop cultivation has shifted. Unexpected climate changes, unpredictable rainfall, droughts, and more are the consequences of global warming that Nepalese farmers are facing.
As a volunteer, you will collaborate with the farmer’s VIN, which specializes in permaculture. The work is typically hands-on, and you’ll design the farm according to permaculture principles, including cultivating crops, weeding, irrigating, gathering materials, digging, and creating beds. Support farmers in making organic fertilizers like compost. Observe, interact, learn and implement

Volunteers can engage children in fun and educational activities during a Summar camp and promote overall development. Physical Exercises: To promote health and well-being, include activities such as yoga, stretching, sports, or simple fitness routines. Team-Building Sessions: Organize games and group challenges to encourage collaboration, communication, and social skills. Creative Workshops: Facilitate drawing, coloring, painting, crafting, and origami sessions to inspire creativity and self-expression. Performing Arts: Teach singing, dancing, drama, and music to boost confidence, enhance creativity, and provide entertainment. Outdoor Exploration: Plan hikes, nature walks, or outdoor play to combine learning with physical activity and appreciation of the environment. Language Teaching: Help children improve their communication skills by teaching them new vocabulary, practicing conversational language, or introducing basic phrases in different languages.
Children's Development is one of the major programs in VIN's Integrated Community Development Approach. The goal of the Children's Development program is to protect the rights of all children by providing them access to basic quality education, developing their life skills, and providing access to health services through community health programs. Even recently, schools in Nepal have focused on examinations and done little to develop students' creativity. Teachers only focus on reading and writing—rote learning. Children's creativity is not explored. Due to parents' busy work schedules, most children do not have the opportunity to socialize and be creative. Such camps are essential to provide opportunities for socialization and creativity for children (aged 6-12). At VIN’s working area in Okhaldhunga, children lack the proper structure and environment to develop their innate talents at home or school. Children's camp (in winter and summer) is one of the best places to explore their natural talents and creativity. At this work camp, national and international volunteers facilitate different fun and creative activities for the target children where VIN works.

Join the Lyukóvölgy summer camp and help create unforgettable experiences for children aged 6 to 18! Be part of an international volunteer team that makes a real difference in their lives. As a volunteer, you can teach English, lead games and sports activities, and, most importantly, bring confidence, trust, and joy to the children. The camp starts each day between 8:00 and 8:30 when the children arrive. The morning kicks off with group exercise or dance at 9:00, followed by an hour of sports—ping pong, football, badminton, or any activity you enjoy leading. From 11:00 to 13:00, thematic workshops focus on career orientation (sharing your studies and work experience) and healthy living. Around 30 children participate daily. The official program ends with a shared lunch at 13:00, but your involvement doesn’t have to stop there. You can help with learning, play with younger kids, organize activities for teens, or even join a herb-collecting trip!
The Lyukóvölgy Learning Center of the Hungarian Maltese Charity Service has been operating in the suburbs of Miskolc since 2016, supporting disadvantaged, primarily Roma children in catching up outside school and overcoming social challenges. Through individual and small-group sessions, as well as recreational activities, the center fosters children's development in collaboration with schools and families.
Miskolc is a vibrant city rich in cultural and natural treasures, located in the northeastern part of Hungary at the foot of the Bükk Mountains. The town is an ideal location for hiking and cultural exploration. Landmarks such as the Diósgyőr Castle and the Miskolctapolca Cave Bath offer unforgettable experiences. Local communities and organizations warmly welcome international volunteers to work together on beautifying the city. During the program, participants also have the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of Hungarian culture and traditions.
The project is co-financed by the European Union through the European Solidarity Corps program, and there is no participation fee. All volunteers will be accommodated in Miskolc at the Martin Luther King Dormitory, a student residence dedicated to disadvantaged youth. We provide three meals a day: breakfast at the dormitory, a communal outdoor-cooked lunch at the learning center, and additional pocket money for dinner. A vegetarian option may be available, but unfortunately, a vegan diet cannot be accommodated. Each volunteer will receive a daily allowance of 7 EUR. At the end of the project, travel costs to the project location will be reimbursed based on the travel distance. All necessary equipment for the tasks will be provided.
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers who are empathetic, patient, and have experience or interest in teaching children and teenagers. Strong communication skills are essential—even nonverbal communication—along with the ability to connect easily with different age groups. This camp is especially ideal for those who have worked with children before or are looking to gain experience in this field. Please fill out our application form: https://coda.io/form/Application-form-Kids-summer-camps-in-Hungary-2025_dHyL6cFRzLS
The nearest airport is Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport (BUD). The easiest way to get to Miskolc from Budapest is by train or bus. Trains depart from Keleti Railway Station, with InterCity trains taking about 2 hours and 10 minutes. Volánbusz services depart from Népliget, with a journey time of around 2.5 to 3 hours.
We are looking for motivated volunteers with empathy, patience, and experience in teaching young children and teenagers. Ideal candidates are strong in (non-verbal) communication and can connect well with children of different ages. This camp is especially suitable for volunteers with experience or a keen interest in working with kids. Immerse yourself in history by taking part in a unique archaeological research project at the citadel of Doullens! Your mission will be to clear a mound of earth blocking access to an unexplored underground passage. Using careful excavation techniques, you will dig and sift through each layer of soil, searching for historical artifacts and hidden remnants of the past. This workcamp is a true archaeological adventure, offering the chance to uncover long-buried secrets of this remarkable site. Come and visit this area where JRR Tolkien lived and got inspired to create his worldly known universe of Lord of the Rings.
The EPCC of the Somme are long-standing partners of Concordia. After a first collaboration in 2019 on the archaeological site of Samara, the EPCC of the Somme has decided to renew our partnership for an exciting new project: the exploration and enhancement of the underground tunnels of the Doullens citadel. This initiative reflects a shared commitment to preserving and showcasing historical heritage while engaging young international volunteers in a mission of discovery and cultural transmission. The city of Doullens and the EPCC are fully dedicated to welcoming volunteers and will ensure a friendly and enriching experience. Many interactions with locals and community members are planned, providing a deep immersion into the region’s culture and history. This work camp is a unique opportunity to actively contribute to the preservation of an iconic site while sharing meaningful moments with the local community.
Doullens is located in the northern part of the Somme, at the crossroads between Amiens, Arras, and Abbeville. This strategic position places it within easy reach of historical and cultural landmarks, including the stunning Gothic cathedral of Amiens, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the vibrant city of Arras, known for its beautiful squares and underground tunnels. Surrounded by picturesque countryside, Doullens offers a peaceful setting perfect for outdoor activities such as hiking and exploring the region’s rich history. Volunteers will have the opportunity to visit nearby sites like the Baie de Somme, one of France’s most breathtaking natural reserves, Samara archeological parc or explore the remnants of World War I battlefields. During the summer, local events, markets, and cultural festivities will add to the experience. With the support of the team, outings and activities will be organized to fully enjoy the region’s heritage, nature, and warm community atmosphere.
You will be accommodated in individual tents within one of the citadel’s gardens, a unique and historic setting. A former jail will serve as a communal living space, providing a dining area and a sheltered retreat in case of bad weather. Sanitary facilities will be available in an annex building, while showers will be accessible at the town’s gym, a 15-minute walk from the campsite. Collective living will be at the heart of this experience: you will share daily tasks and prepare meals together. A budget will be managed by the animation team for grocery shopping, and you will be encouraged to use fresh, local, and seasonal products for healthy, mainly vegetarian and delicious meals.
Please bring good shoes, working clothes and a swimsuit. As nights can be quite cold, remember also to bring warm clothes, a sleeping bag and a matress for more comfort. You can also bring traditional recipes from your home country/region, an instrument of music and games.
The meeting is planned at the Saint Martin Place in Doullens, 18th July at the end of the day. The exact time of the meeting will be communicated with the info sheet, sent at least 4 weeks before the beginning of the workcamp. From PARIS, regular trains (around 1 per hour) leave from the Gare du Nord train station for Amiens train station (1hour trip). From Amiens, a bus is available every hours in direction of Doullens The trains are open to booking about 4 months before the departure dates, accessible on the following website: https://www.sncf-connect.com/en-en/ If you are coming first by plane, remember that you will need some time to commute from the airport to the train station, therefore we recommend that you arrive early enough for you not to rush and have a stress-free travel.
Foreigners belonging to the European Union must bring with them a personal EHIC (European Health Insurance Card), and everybody must, in any case, bring their insurance certificate. If health issues arise on the project, volunteers will have to pay for it, and will then be reimbursed once back in their home country.

We invite 12 international volunteers to help continue the construction of the Celtic housing complex in Bopfingen. So far, seven workcamp groups, local volunteers of the community of Bopfingen and a team of professional craftsmen have been working on the three houses of the Celtic housing complex. Your task will be to continue the work there by finishing the walls and floors. The working place is set on the top of the hill “Ipf”, so you will be working outside a lot with a wonderful view over the region. All the materials you work with are natural materials like clay, wood, and stone. The work will be led by a professional instructor, so no previous experience is needed. Expect manual work! You will work around 30 hours per week, somewhere between 8am to 4pm from Monday to Friday with a 1-2 hour lunchbreak.
The town of Bopfingen invites an international workcamp for the seventh time this year! A couple years back, researchers found archaeological evidence from the Celtic people that used to live here thousands of years ago in the Iron Age. The town’s project for the next years is to rebuild some of the houses in Celtic style to show tourists how the Celts may have lived in this area. By participating to this project you contribute to protecting the local cultural heritage in a sustainable way (UN SDG 9 and 11). You will also be part of the strong partnership between international volunteers and this project in Bopfingen, as international workcamps have helped with building the complex almost every year.
Bopfingen is a small town in southern Germany. It has a beautiful centre with a lot of houses in old German style. What makes Bopfingen special is the hill next to the town which is called “Ipf” with its flat plateau on the top. The “Ipf” has an important historical meaning in this area. In former times, the Celts lived there and until today a lot of archaeologists and historians come to explore the region. It is surrounded by beautiful nature where you can go for a walk or hike. Around Bopfingen, you will find various museums, the romantic historic city of Nördlingen, and the Ries (a large circular meteor impact crater with a diameter of 24 km). If you would like to visit a bigger city, Ulm is not far away with its famous cathedral and the highest church tower in the world.
You will be staying at a local gym hall at about 10 minutes walking distance from the city centre and 15 minutes from the train station. You will all sleep in the very big main room of the gym hall. Camp beds are provided but please bring your own sleeping bag! In the gym hall there is also a kitchen which you can use for cooking, tables and chairs, different toilets which can be separated by gender and one bathroom with one shower. Your group of volunteers will be responsible for grocery shopping and cooking together. The food will be bought with the camp budget and everybody will take turns for cooking, washing the dishes and cleaning. In order to reduce our carbon footprint on the planet, we encourage volunteers to reduce meat and try more sustainable dishes.
Please, try and arrive at “Bopfingen” train station between 1pm and 7pm on July 19th. Find the best connection on the German railway company's website: https://www.bahn.com/en

As in the workcamps of previous years, volunteers are welcome to support some renovation and maintenance work for social institutions in the town. This year, we plan to build a mobile market stall, which can be used for events like a typical German Christmas market. This will include a workshop for woodworking and wood treatment. An experienced female carpenter will introduce and support you! We also want to contribute to various landscape and nature conservation projects in Eilenburg and the surrounding area. This means working in nature and includes an interesting guided tour through the forest including a visit to a „Beaver castle”. As a third task, volunteers are asked to renovate and beautify the outdoor facilities of the youth center. Tasks will be discussed with the group and divided according to your preferences
The municipality of Eilenburg has been offering successful workcamps for more than 13 years now. The workcamp host has always been the youth club House 6 CLOUD, which is in former barracks. In the same building, you can find some more social, sports and cultural projects, for example a skate park. For further information, please visit https://www.haus6.org/ Eilenburg is a small town with a population of about 17,000 people. It is located on the edge of the “Dübener Heide“ and about 25 km from the exhibition city of Leipzig. Eilenburg can easily be described as one of the cradles of Saxony because of its more than thousand-year history. It was a rich city in medieval times and during the industrialization. At the time when Martin Luther lived, the brewery was Eilenburg’s main industry and in the 19th century it was a national center of the textile industry. At the end of the Second World War, in April 1945, Eilenburg was almost completely destroyed. The “Sorbenturm” is the only remaining part of the Ilburg that serves as a reminder of past rich times. A path outside the castle wall connects the “Sorbenturm” with the “Amtshaus”, the former regional court. This path was renewed with the help of volunteers in the past workcamps
The leisure program is designed in collaboration with local youth groups and clubs in Eilenburg. The focus is on meeting and interacting with local young people. There are opportunities to participate in local sports (soccer, basketball, volleyball, skate park), and swimming is also possible in the nearby gravel pit. Also planned are a trip to Leipzig, including a canoe tour on the Pleiße/Elster River, and a day trip to Berlin. Upon request, a dinghy tour on the local Mulde River can also be arranged. The volunteers will get to know the different forms of the youth cultures in Germany. They will also have the chance to improve their German language skills because the local adolescents are also involved in the projects
The volunteers will live in the youth club “HOUSE6 Cloud” and can use all facilities of a well equipped youth centre. There is also a kitchen available for the group to cook together
You should bring your own sleeping bags and sleeping mats. You will also need some work clothes, rain gear and sturdy shoes. Do not forget to bring a swimsuit. We will ask you to sign a self-declaration form regarding child and youth protection.
