Volunteers will spend mornings in various activities with the members that Association supports. There will be artistic tasks (mosaics), educational (some workshops), sports... After the lunch, together with the users, volunteers will walk in city center visiting main museums (National one, Nikola Tesla museum, Ethnographic...). Volunteers will also dedicate some time to keep the school clean. The main aim is to be there to meet the people that don't have that many opportunities for that in regular life, so the good will is really something that will help immensely!
Association for help to the persons that need additional support (persons with some kind of disability) "Voždovac" is non-governmental, non-profit humanitarian organization that for goal has social inclusion of their users. They work with kids, youth and adult people that have autism, Dawn's syndrome, cerebral paralysis, etc. The intention is to be there to organize their free time, in order to make them closer to the community. Young Researchers of Serbia (YRS) was founded in 1976. Our main aims are environmental protection and education, promotion of sustainable development, work with young people in an international context, promotion of scientific creativity and voluntarism and its values. Voluntary Service of Serbia is a volunteer exchange service center founded in 1990 as one of the sectors of YRS.
Camp is taking place in Belgrade, just few kilometers from historic center with the good connection of free public transport (20 minutes, by bus). As one of the most ancient cities in Europe, Serbian and once-Yugoslavian capital has a lot to offer. Streets full of friendly people, galleries, caffes, museums, parks, clubs, monuments, fortress that looks at two mighty European rivers (Sava and Danube)-it is all made so that people can appreciate the Life more (to say it poetically). Many activities will be part of the project, but volunteers will also have some free-time, that they can use as it suits them. The only things that would be nice to bring with you are patience and smile, all the rest is of secondary importance!
Volunteers will be accommodated in the school dormitory for the pupils with difficulties (disabilities) in rooms with 2 or 3 beds and bathroom. Since it is a time of holidays, rooms will be empty, but some kids will be there to join the activities. Provided food will be prepared by volunteers in the dormitory's kitchen.
There are no specific requirements, but it will make your life easier if you bring sunscreen, adequate clothes and mosquito repellent as it gets hot and humid during the summer in Serbia.
The meeting point is not set yet, it will be given in the Infosheet.

Volunteers will help in preparing the local festival ("Gnezdo"-Nest fest). Tasks include mowing the lawns, limiting the space for guests, setting up the stage, moving objects, positioning curtains, and cleaning the riverbanks (since the festival will be located on the riverbank). Volunteers will also help create improvised stairs in the ground, position signs, and set up trash bins at various locations. During the 3-day festival, volunteers will assist with a variety of tasks such as giving instructions, directing people, answering questions, and transporting items from one place to another. At the end of the festival, volunteers will help select content to publish on social media.
"Fakiri sa juga" (Fakirs-faquirs from the South) is a non-governmental and non-profit association founded in Kruševac in 2017. Their work started when they took care of one ruined (abandoned) object of the local football club together with many volunteers. Now, it is AKC "Gnezdo" (alternative cultural center), a unique place where youth can express itself through performances, workshops, movie projections, etc. The goals of this association are cultivation of new artistic expressions, informal education, mediation, and creating dialogue, as well as supporting persons in developing their full creative potential.
Kruševac is the medieval capital of Serbia, built around 1371. Its name, says one legend, comes from the name of a certain type of stone, with which the main part of the city is built. It has a beautiful center with several objects (monuments) from the old times (primarily there is the church "Lazarica"). Various monuments from different eras can be seen in the town. Bagdala is the hill above the town, so as a nice picnic area, it can be visited. It is a place with a very romantic view down there, so it is not strange that many couples use it as their favorite walking goal. Also, families with kids can be met there, so it makes us question if it's just the same people that continued to attend the same place (could be). During the festival, but also outside of it, there will be many workshops, movie projections, and musical performances, so the volunteers can enjoy all of that and much more. Also, it is located at the beach, so refreshment in Rasina river can be helpful in the warm summer days. An excursion to the nearby mountain will probably be organized. Just bring patience and a smile and the great adventure will be there!
The volunteers will be accommodated in tents on the riverbank. Tents and sleeping bags will be provided, but you can always bring your own for extra comfort. In case of bad weather, some nights may be spent in the house, AKC "Gnezdo." The showers are solar-powered, so a schedule will need to be organized to ensure everyone has access. Regarding food, it will be prepared by volunteers in shifts, using ingredients purchased for them. On some occasions, cooking will take place outdoors in a kettle (large casserole).

The camp is designed as a space for socializing, mutual communication, and the inclusion of people with developmental disabilities alongside volunteers from the general population, who come from diverse cultures and backgrounds. Volunteers will work at the "Oasis," engaging in everyday activities with the users of the facility. The main activities will include tasks that the users typically perform in their daily lives, such as: Maintenance and organization of the living and working spaces Tidying up the yard and plot Pulling weeds (not the kind you're thinking of, hehe) and working in the garden (planting, hoeing, watering, crop care, and harvesting) Sorting fruits and vegetables for various purposes: feeding camp members, distributing to socially disadvantaged individuals in the local community, feeding livestock, and creating compost Feeding animals and maintaining their living spaces Emptying recycling containers with PET packaging, pressing the packaging Visiting vulnerable families in the local community Additionally, a portion of the camp will focus on the artistic decoration of the wall in the garden, allowing for creative expression.
The association "Living Together" was founded in 1997 by a group of parents with the goal of improving the quality of life for their children with intellectual disabilities, their families, and the entire social community. With extensive experience in working with people with disabilities, the association organizes various events to promote inclusion. The mission of the Association is to make people with developmental disabilities visible, active, and present in all areas of social life. They aim to affirm the abilities and individuality of people with disabilities, promote their rights, and enable them to live a dignified and fulfilling life. The association values equality, equal opportunities, commitment, tolerance, solidarity, and the continuous education of all members. Young Researchers of Serbia (YRS), founded in 1976, focuses on environmental protection, education, sustainable development, and working with youth in an international context. YRS promotes scientific creativity, voluntarism, and its values. Voluntary Service of Serbia, a volunteer exchange service center founded in 1990, operates as one of the sectors of YRS.
The camp will take place in Golubinci, a village/town located in the municipality of Stara Pazova, just 8 km away from the town center. Stara Pazova has a population of around 5,000 people and is a multicultural environment. While the majority of the population follows the Orthodox faith, there is also a significant Catholic presence. In the town center, you will find Orthodox and Catholic churches, a supermarket, a post office, a school, a kindergarten, a health center, and several cafes. One of the most interesting features of the area is the Schloss castle, dating back to the 18th century. It is surrounded by tales of curses, infidelities, and punishments. The castle holds historical and architectural significance as it was visited by notable figures such as Karađorđe Petrović (leader of the First Serbian Uprising) and composer Ludwig van Beethoven. Throughout the year, various local events and festivals take place in Stara Pazova, including the Cat Festival (with a masquerade ball and carnival), Days of Rosemary, and Earth Day. During the volunteers' stay, the town will be celebrating Petrovdan – the local holiday, during which numerous outdoor activities and a fair will be held, enjoyed by all the locals. Stara Pazova is well-connected to major cultural hubs, with Novi Sad and Belgrade easily accessible by train (just 20 minutes away). So, trips to these beautiful cities can be organized with ease. We simply recommend that you bring patience and a smile, and it will surely be a memorable adventure!
Camp Oasis Golubinci brings together people of goodwill who are ready to offer support and assistance in both the lives and work of adults with developmental disabilities. Oasis Golubinci is a living and working community for people with disabilities, and it provides accommodation for both volunteers and users within the Oasis itself. Volunteers will be housed in well-equipped houses that include all necessary amenities, such as an adequate number of bathrooms, kitchens, and dining areas. Accommodation will be in double or triple rooms. All houses/accommodation units are located in the same yard, fostering a close-knit environment, though volunteers may stay in separate houses. There are four different kitchens on the premises, where volunteers will take part in food preparation. The association will provide the necessary food based on available resources. Bedding will be provided to all volunteers during their stay.
There are no specific requirements, but if you want to make your life easier, prepare adequate clothes, a good mosquito repellent and shoes for working outside.

The main goal of this camp will be that volunteers make the village move, but also that they learn a lot about local cultures (because it is in plural). Some of the tasks will be: renovation of the mural at the bus station, help to make the local Youth center prettier, cleaning the garbage on boats from the canal, painting the kids' playground, make sports' terrains look more representative, watering the trees maybe even with the firetruck, supporting the organizers of the festival "PactON"...
Pact Ruthenorum is a local organization dedicated to promotion of Rusyn's culture (ethnic Eastern-Slavic minority in South-Slavic Serbia; more on that nobody knows, that is why this project is important, haha). It is founded in 2004. with the mission to connect people all over the region and even all over the world. With that aim, they organized numerous festivals (mostly musical or traditional with the cultural topics) and workcamps. Its main focuses are music, nature and socializing. Young Researchers of Serbia (YRS) was founded in 1976. Our main aims are environmental protection and education, promotion of sustainable development, work with young people in an international context, promotion of scientific creativity and voluntarism and its values. Ruski Krstur is a village in the Kula municipality in the Sombor department of Vojvodina province. It has 3000 inhabitants approximately and majority of them are Rusyns (less-known Eastern-Slavic minority that we mentioned previously). It lays on the Small Backa canal (very important one for fertile lands all around the village). Free time will be spent in nature, walking and riding bicycles, swimming in the pool, meeting locals (hosts really care about this part). Also, some excursion to the interesting surroundings might be easily organized! Try to bring a positive attitude, meeting people from other cultures of this international village is really important to the host.
Volunteers will be accommodated in the local sports' hall, on the mattresses (bedding will be provided, but if you insist you can bring your own, hehe). The kitchen will be in the near Fire department (many associations cooperate closely in this interesting village). Food will be provided sometimes (with accent on national cuisine) and sometimes it will be made by volunteers. On few occasions there can be even outdoor preparation.
There are no special requirements (except to not forget the smile and good energy), but if you like to make your life easier, bring sunscreen, adequate clothes and mosquito repellent as it gets hot and humid during the summer.

The work will be educative and mainly focused on environmental topics. As researchers from "Vladimir Mandić Manda" have this practice going on for years now, the scheme is very-well prepared. The accent is on learning, but also on meeting between people and spending time in the lovely nature. Every day there will be at least one important lecture, that will be led by experienced members of the organization. The topics will be chosen there, having in mind practical possibilities (the goal is that volunteers find out something and then apply it next day right there, on the field). Volunteers, as well, will be invited to make their own presentations of topics they choose. There will, also, be a few workshops on bushcraft i.e. surviving in the natural environment.
From Belgrade there are numerous busses and trains to Valjevo, so it can all be organized easily. More informationS you will have in the Infosheet.
For 55 years, the association of researchers "Vladimir Mandić - Manda" has been gathering young people from Valjevo and beyond who have the desire to learn something more than what they learn in school, but certainly in a much nicer way. Their goals are initiation and support in organizing educational programs for young people, popularization of scientific research work and creativity among young people, encourage young people to be active and take part in organized activities, raising awareness of the need to protect and contribute to the preservation of the environment and historical-cultural heritage in the context of sustainable development, promotion and support for the development of volunteerism as well as contribution to solving problems in the local community, better understanding of peoples and cultures, friendship and peace, creating conditions for improving the position of young people and implementing youth initiatives, as well as advocating for adequate verification and affirmation of results achieved by young people. Young Researchers of Serbia (YRS) was founded in 1976. Volunteers will be accommodated on the field in front of the mountaineer house (that has a bathroom). They will sleep in tents, on mats, which will be provided for them, but it is preferable to bring your own sleeping bag (if it can't be, we will provide them, don't worry). The tents will be for two, three and four people, but one gigantic tent for ten people will also be brought, so you can admire its grandiosity. Of course, volunteers that want to arrive with their own camping gear which includes all of the above, are very welcome, as well. In the house, there is a kitchen where every day three or four people (or more, it will be one big group) will be in charge of preparing, setting up and serving meals from ingredients that will be provided. They will certainly not do it alone, but with the support of camp leaders and researchers.
There are no specific requirements, really.

Second oldest workcamp in YRS focuses on the natural protected reserve "Kraljevac" and what it has to offer to the locals and visitors. In order to preserve the important balance in the zone, volunteers will work on the areas around the lake, cleaning up the bank, taking care of the fishing place, restoring the paths, etc. There are also some bad plants (roots, invasive species) that need to be removed so that the eco-system can thrive. Also, some areas with long grass will be cut and restored in order. Benches and places for visitors will be fixed, if necessary.
The Sport Fishing Association “Deliblato Lake,” established in 2000, focuses on promoting sport fishing and nature conservation within the local community and among young people in Deliblato. It manages the Special Nature Reserve Kraljevac, a protected area recognized for its national importance by the Serbian government in 2009. In collaboration with Young Researchers of Serbia (YRS), the association organizes an international volunteer eco camp aimed at environmental education and sustainable development. YRS, founded in 1976, focuses on environmental protection, scientific creativity, and promoting voluntary service. Their initiatives aim to engage young people in international volunteer programs, fostering a global perspective on environmental conservation and sustainability.
On the edge of Deliblatska peščara (Deliblato Sands, the largest sand area in Europe), in the midst of the Vojvodina plains, in the picturesque village of Deliblato, lies an oasis of peace—Special Nature Reserve Kraljevac. Lake Kraljevac with its floating and permanently anchored islands, surrounding reedbeds, woodlands, meadows, and pastures supports a rich diversity of plant and animal life. Floating islands continually change the surrounding landscape, so sometimes it all gives an impression of being in some magical lands. Those islands, together with the permanently anchored ones, are remnants of lowland peat bogs, globally one of the rarest and most threatened habitats, so they represent one of Serbia’s last refuges of the relict plant community of Marsh Fern and Grey Willow. The area is also part of an internationally important zone for protected birds (IBA). Many of them live in the surroundings or come by to eat. Purple and squacco heron (Ardea purpurea, Ardeola ralloides), night heron (Nycticorax nycticorax), alcids (Alcidae) are just some among many different species that visit the area. During leisure hours, volunteers will have a chance to go on boat rides to get to know the surrounding nature. Also, excursions to the interesting places nearby can be organized. For the end, there is the possibility that the volunteers will participate in educational workshops with local children. Just bring the patience and smile, and it will be one unforgettable adventure!
All volunteers and camp leaders will be accommodated in the Education and Research Centre in Special Natural Reserve Kraljevac in 2-bed, 3-bed, and 5-bed rooms (linen included, sleeping bag is not required) with shared toilets and showers. Volunteers will be provided with a cute kitchen with all the facilities, and groceries will be brought to them so they can cook.
There are no specific requirements, but if you want to enjoy your time more in more relaxed manner, bring appropriate clothes and sun protection, as well as a good mosquito repellent.

During the camp volunteers will do many different activities, from planting an alley of flowers and mowing the lawns, to sanding and painting wooden sculptures in the local park, then prepare the ground for the new statue in the Memorial Park. In the landscape house, for wooden objects protective material will be used in order to preserve the texture. If time allows, there will be a space to create new totems and put them in the park. Also, this year the volunteers will help in making of 5m high vantage point.

Totovo Selo is a picturesque village with almost completely Hungarian population in the Kanjiža municipality, in the North Banat District, Vojvodina province. It is surrounded by natural beauty with beautiful fields and friendly hosts. Settlement was founded at the end of the 19th century. The name "Totovo Selo" (literally- Tot's village) comes from Tót József, at that time (at the threshold of the 20th century) wealthy local landlord, who donated 72 houses without any compensation dividing his property among his wage-earners and workers. One of the most interesting attractions there is the model of the Danube, which is built together with the former participants of the camp. In the village there are 5 parks, a barn, an autochthonous Hungarian breed of sheep and a farmhouse. In the village, there are few festivals that are organized every year (a kettle and brandy festival, a festival of folk customs, to mention just those...). Few excursions to the surrounding places and towns will be organized (including going to the beach at river Tisa). Please bring a positive attitude, meeting people from other cultures of this Serbian-Hungarian village is really important to the host.
The accommodation will be in a local boarding house in rooms with 2-5 beds and a bathroom. Bedding is provided. Meals are provided in the dining hall of the local centre, 3 times a day. Also, the dinners will be made with the help of everyone in the courtyard of the boarding house, with local traditional food. Keep in mind that there might probably be a very limited internet connection, but we will see what can be done to use it from the locals without their permission (no, no, we will try to find alternatives, don't worry).
No specific requirements needed, but if you want to have your life easier bring sunscreen, adequate clothes and mosquito repellent as it gets hot and humid during the summer.

Since the school is considered a hub for many important activities, it is also noteworthy that various local organizations have strong connections with it. This will be the case here as well. Since the project can only be defined by three areas on this platform, we cannot describe everything that will take place, but we can elaborate further here. Volunteers will undertake numerous tasks in cooperation with different associations in Požega. With social organizations, decisions will be made about which families require additional support, allowing volunteers to assist those in need with their regular activities. Volunteers will also visit the local association for people with cerebral paralysis, where they will provide help and conduct workshops. Additionally, they will participate in activities at the local Gerontological Center, where they will assist in taking care of the garden and meet elderly people who will be happy to interact with the guests. Moreover, there will be tasks to perform in the school’s yard, such as picking raspberries (one of Serbia's national fruits) and blackberries (another popular fruit in the country). Serbia is indeed a land of fruits. Volunteers will also be involved in planting seeds, removing unwanted plants, and feeding the animals—just a few of the planned activities during their stay in this beautiful location.
Agricultural high school is founded in 1956. and from that moment it works constantly with youth on important topic like the producing food is. The school is regional center and it offers many opportunities for those who need to obtain certain knowledges in the field of plant and animal treatments. Since 2002. it aims to modernize its methods, so that is why they try to participate in many different projects, in order to give to the local youth wider perspectives on life. Young Researchers of Serbia (YRS) was founded in 1976. Požega is a charming town located in the nature-rich region of Western Serbia. The town center offers a lively atmosphere, especially during the summer, where volunteers can experience the local vibe. However, the school is situated a little outside the center, surrounded by parks, providing a peaceful environment where volunteers can relax during their free time. The school has sports fields for recreational activities, and the town features a swimming pool, which could be a great way to spend some hot days. There are also opportunities for excursions in the area, with more details available in the Infosheet. The only advice we have for this adventure is to bring patience and a smile – it will surely make for an unforgettable and pleasant experience!
The volunteers will be accommodated in the school dormitory, where they will stay in rooms with 2-3 beds and a bathroom (essentially resembling a 3-star hotel). Linen will be provided for their stay. Food will be prepared collectively in the kitchen of the dormitory. Several workshops will be organized to teach the volunteers how to make traditional Serbian meals.
There are no specific requirements, but if you want to make your life easier, bring sunscreen, adequate clothes and mosquito repellent as it gets hot and humid during the summer in Serbia.

Third one will be two big actions of cleaning the lake area, so everybody can enjoy in beautiful nature.
Ekomar is an association whose goal is promotion and ecological marketing of natural resources. It is founded in 2015. and from that moment they work diligently on spreading the ideas of good ecological practices. Their focus is mainly on the work with youngsters through different projects and programmes. Important outcome of the efforts in last years is the informative Eco-center on the lake Gruža, whose aim is to educate people about the importance of water eco-systems. Every year thousands of kids visit the center, where they can learn a lot about different ecological topics. The team has biologists, ecologists and pedagogists. Young Researchers of Serbia (YRS) was founded in 1976. Lake Gruza (Gruža; pronounced: Gruzha) is located in the central region of Serbia, in the municipality Knić, not far from Kragujevac, regional center, that uses the water from it for drinking. It is surrounded by beautiful nature (even intact in many places), so the guests like to come here often (especially on weekends)! The water is rich in fish, especially carp and pikeperch. Also, this zone is a home for many rare and protected birds (IBA area). The camp will take place on the edge of the lake, practically, in the center that is suitable for lectures, but also outdoor activities. In the center, there is permanent exhibition "Life in water", that is about different water organisms that live in Serbia and Yugoslavia/Balkan area. Educative workshops will be organized, as well as some excursions, but more details on that will be written in the Infosheet. In every case, bring a positive attitude, meeting people from other cultures is really important to the host!

This is the 26th year (the year after the big jubilee, and 24 years short for the next big one) that this camp has been active in YRS, and this long-lasting tradition speaks for itself. After 20 years, the Glossy Ibis was spotted in the Obedska pond, a bird that is so important to this wetland area. It is one of the few places in Europe where you can see it, and that's why the role of volunteers is so crucial in helping to maintain the area. The work consists of taking out invasive species and bushes while cleaning up the wetland soil that enables it to be inhabited by various species. It is an ecological project on a larger scale, so keep in mind that you will have to "destroy" a lot of small trees and plants in order to make space for the other ones (that are not so "aggressive"). It will give the opportunity for diversity, although it might not seem like that. For those who can't stand to look and do that, this will probably not be the right place
Association "Zeleni pogled" (Green Look) from Kupinovo was registered on June 2, 2015. The main topics they deal with are volunteerism (work with kids and youth in the popularization of ecological topics through workshops, lectures, workcamps), environmental protection (education of people in ecological topics through workshops, lectures, workcamps), and preservation of cultural heritage (organizing cultural events, competitions, festivals, publishing books, collecting works of art, protecting old crafts, educating youth through workshops, lectures, and, you'll guess, that's right—visits to the museums).
Kupinovo is a village located in the municipality of Pećinci, Serbia. As of the 2011 census, the village has 1,866 inhabitants. It is near the famous biodiversity area, the Obedska bara (Obedska pond or bog). Kupinovo is a place rich in cultural and historical sights. The most interesting are: Kupinik Fortress, a medieval fortification from the 14th century, the Church of Saint Luke from the half of the 15th century (the oldest Serbian church in the area), the Church of Mother Angelina from the 16th century, and the ethno-complex with objects of folk architecture. The end of the village is the beginning of a huge forest, so pleasant walks can be taken daily. Also, the important river Sava is very near, so going to its banks can also be a relaxing leisure activity. Swimming is possible, although the beach is not big and decorated. Since the village is not full of activities and the local youth is not numerous, days can be really long there (which suits some people who seek a quiet place to rest from fast civilization, but can be boring to others who want constant dynamic activity). So be aware of it. Depending on the group preferences, different activities can be organized. At least one visit to Belgrade (the capital of Serbia and a jewel of world culture) will take place (there are many buses during the day). In the surroundings, there are a few museums and aqua-parks, but the transport is not great, so some creativity and flexibility in planning are always welcome! In any case, the project can be wonderful, but also boring—it is up to the group. (It is the best and worst reviewed camp we have, depending on the year and every person's point of view), so we recommend you bring only patience and a smile, because with them you will be among those who had an unforgettable adventure in this remote Serbian village with friendly locals!
The volunteers will either stay in two renovated ethno-houses in Ethno Park in Kupinovo or in the house where previous village offices were (the precise information will be in the Infosheet). In every case, it will be on beds inside. The food will be prepared for the volunteers by local housewives, with the accent on national cuisine (a lot of meat prepared in creative ways, but vegetarian meals will be possible, of course).
