Town hall of Crémenes
Crémenes is a Spanish municipality and town in the province of León, in the autonomous region of Castilla y León. It has a population of 530 inhabitants (INE 2023). The largest portion of the township belongs to the Picos de Europa Regional Park, where the largest number of Vadinian tombstones have been found (eleven in total). Some authors believe that Vadinia, an important Celtic city frequently mentioned by historians and geographers during the Cantabrian-Roman wars, may have been located here. La Corona, a hilltop next to the village, indicates a possible settlement of Roman origin. The village has several hiking trails leading to neighbouring municipalities of great scenic value. Also of note is the Sabinar de Crémenes, one of the most westerly in Europe. Other mountain activities such as canoeing, cycling, hunting and fishing are also available in the area. In recent years, some special spots have been set up for observing and photographing wild animals. Crémenes is a destination that promises total immersion in the culture, history and nature of the mountains of León. Located in a privileged setting, this municipality offers a perfect combination of heritage, breathtaking landscapes and traditions that have endured for centuries. If you are looking for an escape from routine and direct contact with nature and history, Crémenes is undoubtedly the ideal place.

Some construction or modification of the infratructures might be needed. Flexibility and open mindness is a MUST
The Animal Academy is a shelter for animals considered farm animals abused and abandoned on the island of Fuerteventura. We take care of giving them a second chance: here they become superheroes and give a voice to all those who, like them, have suffered at the hands of human beings! These rescued animals have developmental diseases, psychological problems and all kinds of ailments, but in the shelter they find a place where they can live the life they deserve without fear.
Fuerteventura, one of the Canary Islands, offers many alternative and lesser-known places to visit beyond the typical tourist hotspots. Here are some suggestions like Cofete Beach, Betancuria, Ajuy Caves, El Cotillo, La Oliva and Las Salinas del Carmen as alternative places that can provide a deeper understanding of Fuerteventura’s culture, history, and natural beauty, offering a more enriching experience beyond the usual tourist trail.
Volunteers will sleep at the shelter which is located way out wub-wub. The place is a studio that will be share with volunteers, not neccesary coming for a wiorkcamp. Therfore, there might be some transit with the group. The accommodation has single beds, a bathroom, kitchen and common areas within the refuge facilities. Volunteers will have the option to stay at the refuge facilities during the volunteer camp participation period. Volunteers work at least 6 hours a day for 5 days a week
Very motivated volunteers able to do physical demanding work and happy to work with animals
Volunteers will be required to have a previous video interview with the host in order to guarantee a mutual understanding of the project and the volunteering spirit behind the project. Remember it is not a project for everyone but mostly hardworking motivated volunteers.
