At the end of the season the entire site is deconstructed and packed away for the winter. Like setup, this involves a lot of manual labour and hard work but is a time when the team really comes together as we work to leave the field as we found it at the beginning of the summer. We make sure that all structures are cleaned, dried and packed away. You’ll have the chance to see the behind the scenes of outdoor living and event infrastructure and take part in plenty of problem solving and logistics tasks. While the work can be quite physical, we find that because we are not hosting events anymore, we have more time for team activities such as fancy banquet dinners, dress-up parties or relaxing campfire evenings. If it is something you want to have a go at, then takedown may be the phase for you! Please note that as we take structures down the facilities on the field will become more minimal (toilets and showers will be available till the end).
Green & Away is a registered educational charity, who organise, build and run a unique, tented sustainable venue – a temporary outdoor eco-village, situated on the banks of the River Teme, in lush Countryside overlooked by the Malvern Hulls in the West of England. Every summer since 1990, many volunteers from all different walks of life and all over the world have come together to create a beautiful space for events, connection to the outdoors, community and learning – and we are very excited to welcome you! You will be supported and encouraged to be involved in whatever you feel most comfortable doing, and the host always supports and appreciates new ideas and feedback – Green & Away is a place to share and learn new skills. The host warmly welcomes and encourages individuals of all backgrounds, ethnicities, races, genders, abilities, ages, religions, and orientations to join the Green & Away project. This is an ongoing project with several starting dates. In your application, make sure to add which date you would like to start your 2 weeks project. You can apply for several 2-week periods in the same application.
The site is situated close to a small village which has some small activities going on, the site is roughly 5-6 miles from Worcester with a direct bus. Volunteers can travel quite freely to a big city. More immediately the site is located to a café with walking trails and a river for swimming bordering the site. The nearest hospital is 9 miles away. You will get 2 days off of volunteering, days off are not the same each week, but rest will be assured to all volunteers. The work at Green & Away is what brings us together, but there is also plenty of time for evening activities, revelling in music and laughter in our bar, swimming, playing games and enjoying an evening round the campfire. There is also opportunity for day trips to visit the local area, cultural visits or special days out like canoeing on your days off. You are also invited to engage with our Education Wednesdays, where we spend an afternoon together learning from one another in a variety of ways through talks, workshops and discussions. If you have a skill or knowledge on a topic you would like to share with the group let us know!
The host is an outdoor venue and campsite so all accommodation is tented – this is for all volunteers as well as guests will be in tents. Green & Away will provide you with a space in a tent with a camp bed, sleeping bag, pillow and blanket – IT IS STILL COLD AT NIGHT DURING UK SUMMERTIME, PLEASE ENSURE YOU BRING ENOUGH WARM CLOTHES. All food is provided (3 meals a day, regular tea breaks, with cake!). Meals are vegetarian/vegan, organic, fresh and local when possible. IF you do have any specific dietary requirements, please let the host know in advance. The site has an outdoor biomass-powered, wood cladded shower cubicles, composting toilets, drinking water taps, clothes washing facilities and a washing line. The host provides eco-friendly toiletries. All safety and volunteering equipment is provided by Green and Away.
The host will reach out to you to establish levels of English, you will receive an email if successful. A conversational level of B2 is necessary to understand safety instructions.
A travel guide will be sent to the volunteer nearer the time
For Green and Away it is really important the volunteer understands what we are about (environmental charity, not a music festival! etc.) and the circumstances of the facilities (outdoor showers, camping). Green & Away need volunteers to have a good level of English (B2) which is integral to the safety of themselves and everyone they are working with. A pre-approval interview over the phone will be organised with the host after applications.

the volunteers will engage in various tasks to rehabilitate the spaces and ensure the building is ready to serve its intended purpose. These activities include cleaning and clearing the site, rehabilitating spaces within the building, and carrying out maintenance works that are required. Additionally, volunteers will assist in maintenance activities at Gantikow Manor and its surrounding grounds to ensure the overall upkeep of the area. PARTICIPATION TERMS Participants have to take part for the whole time of the project. The working part consists in six hours per day. Be informed, that during all projects the work will take place also on rainy and cold days and be prepared for that.
Open Houses – not empty buildings, but places with visible and invisible traces of history, places which have grown and decayed over the centuries, places which were shaped by those people who lived there long ago as well those who left only yesterday – places which will be shaped by those who live there or who come as a guest. Open Houses – rooms which want to be filled with dreams and ideas, with meetings and exchange, by people of different backgrounds, different cultures, different generations and different ideas and visions. The history of Open Houses Network dates back to the mid-1980s, when a group of young people started to restore village churches in East Germany in voluntary work to protect them from decay. The engagement for these buildings united people who enjoyed the freedom these activities provided and who filled these rooms with life again in ways which by far exceed the craftsmen's work done – through exhibitions, concerts, making music together or just sitting by the camp fire. Meanwhile, rooms free of political and ideological pressure are no longer urgently required; however, places have become rare where people can meet without commercial pressure, free of bureaucracy and institutionalism, free of nepotism and the exclusion which it produces. What should be easy – to go somewhere in order to meet people and to work together – has become difficult. The tightrope walk between, on the one hand, public activities in a monetary and functional sense, and the retreat into private life on the other, is very difficult, and it requires a lot of power and permanent efforts to tackle red tape and financial restrictions. Free spaces are less and less understood as common property, and are permanently being cut back. The idea of public property seems to have gone out of fashion, and places of common responsible work have become rare. Open Houses Network tries to create and protect such spaces. In this process, we do not want to be the doers, but be people who have a vision, who want to initiate something, but who also are aware of depending on the co-operation of others. We understand our projects and events as offers – as offers to create space for commitment, for changes, for meetings.
LOCATION: Next towns: Kyritz (5 km), Neuruppin (40 km) Region: Brandenburg Gantikow Manor is situated 100 kilometres north of Berlin. The house is surrounded by a nice village with a medieval church and a lake. The manor is a picturing example of a former baroque building, changed in the late 19th century in neo-baroque style. Over centuries, the houses belonged to the Earls von Platen, which sold it in 1872 to a civil family which started soon, in 1877, with the modernisation of the house and kept it in their ownership till 1945. After World War II, the house was first used as a refugee shelter and after that the community used the house as a village centre, hosting the community office, the local store, the school, the kindergarten, the doctor’s room, the kitchen of the agricultural cooperative and several apartments. With its many rooms the large building is perfect to be used as a Youth Accommodation House. The house is surrounded by a beautiful park with old trees which reached originally up to the lake. LEISURE TIME The camp places are mostly situated in small villages in rural areas, so the participants should not expect busy places and normal city activities for the leisure time during the working days. Small trips in walking distance are possible in the afternoon. On the weekends it is possible to organise an excursion to nearby cities or to have other leisure activities. Beyond the hands-on work, the volunteers will have leisure time to explore the picturesque surroundings of Gantikow Manor, including a nearby lake where they can relax and unwind.
ACCOMMODATION: shared rooms with beds, warm shower, toilets FOOD The meals will be prepared together as they are part of the community life, what means that every participant will be responsible for the meal at least once during its stay. So, it would be very nice if the participants could bring typical recipes from home in order to introduce each other to the preparation of food from all over the world.
WHAT TO BRING Usually, average temperatures in Germany during the summer time are about 20o C to 30o C; during the night it will get colder. It is possible that there may be two weeks of non-stop sunshine, but every day rain is not impossible either. In September and October, it's about 8o C to 18o C. Passport Insurance Certificates (EU-members should bring their European Health Insurance Card; those which have an individual travel insurance should bring the certificate) sleeping bag stable work boots, really appropriate for practical work appropriate clothes, waterproof coat mosquito protection lotion dictionary typical recipes, sweets, music, instruments and games from the participants' home country for group activities
Next railway station: Kyritz (5 km) Next airports: Berlin (BER, 100 km), Rostock (HRO, 150 km)
Open Houses does not provide internet access or phone at the sites. So, it will be not possible for the participants to check emails or to make phone calls from the project place. The next public phones are at most of the places far away and there are no internet cafes nearby. In the case that participants will need access to internet or phone they should prepare themselves in advance. Furthermore, washing machines are not available at the camp places.

Dreaming of lavender fields and Provence? Saint-Paul-Trois-Châteaux offers you a picture-postcard landscape and the chance to get involved in a project that will plunge you into the history of the town's famous quarries... What do Saint-Paul-Trois-Châteaux, Paris, Lyon, Marseille and New York have in common? It's hard to believe that many of the buildings in these major cities still stand on foundations that originated in this small town in the Drôme region. In the 19th century, the quarrying of stone from the south of France was in full swing. The site had specific infrastructures for extracting and transporting blocks of stone, especially to the Rhône. Mining ceased after the Second World War and the site reverted to its natural state as the years went by. Today, the remains of this activity are still present, and there is a determination to preserve them, in order to pass on their unique history. Thanks to their rich biodiversity, the former quarries could become a sensitive natural area in the near future. Respecting the site, you will be working to complete an inclined surface on a path that has been damaged by rainwater run-off. On a sloping, wooded and rocky site, you will be creating gutters to allow the water to drain away. This work is a continuation of the projects carried out in 2022 and 2023. If you love nature, history and travelling, this is the job for you! You don't need any skills, but a good dose of motivation and a good mood will make this project unforgettable.
The town of Saint-Paul-Trois-Châteaux is attached to its history and heritage. It is a tourist town in the Drôme Provençale region that is also keen to protect the environment. By hosting this third volunteer work camp, Saint-Paul-Trois-Châteaux aims to reveal the cultural richness of its region by combining heritage and nature.
The town of Saint-Paul-Trois-Châteaux (population 9,000) is located in the Drôme department, in the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region, on the axis of the Rhône Valley, in an area with a Mediterranean climate. Drôme provençale is a tourist region with many assets. As well as plenty of sunshine, you'll find an unspoilt environment and a warm, friendly atmosphere as you wander through the narrow streets of the mediaeval town. Saint-Paul-Trois-Châteaux is the ideal place to discover the Tricastin, Drôme Provençale and northern Vaucluse. The city itself boasts an important cultural heritage with its cathedral, townhouses and archaeological collections. What's more, in and around the town, gastronomy takes pride of place with the Tricastin black truffle. On the other hand, don't look for the three castles that gave their name to the town, based on a fanciful interpretation of the term tricastin. However, the town does have a rich history, which is now at the heart of our worksite project. You'll have the chance to discover its secrets through guided tours and workshops. There's also a rich cultural programme during the summer, with concerts, presentations of crafts and arts disciplines, etc. As for leisure activities, you'll be able to use the town's many facilities and organise excursions to discover the wider area (Gorges de l'Ardèche, Montélimar, Grotte Chauvet, etc.).
You will be accommodated in individual tents near the 2003 municipal stadium, which is close to sports facilities (football stadium, city stadium, skate park, watersports complex, etc.) and close to the town centre. The site will be for the sole use of the group, who will have keys to control access. The changing rooms will provide separate areas for toilets and showers. A room will be equipped for meals and be used as a shelter in the event of bad weather (heatwave, storms). There will also be grassy, shaded areas where you can enjoy the outdoors. Together, you'll help to organise community life (cleaning, activities, etc.) and take it in turns to prepare meals using locally sourced produce. As far as possible, we will promote vegetarian meals using local, seasonal produce, while ensuring that all participants' diets are respected and that local gastronomy is discovered.
Arrival late afternoon at Pierrelatte SNCF station, accessible from Marseille-Saint-Charles and Lyon-Part-Dieu stations. Train reservations can be made approximately 4 months before departure on the SNCF website, link below: https://www.sncf-connect.com/
Remember to bring gloves and suitable clothing for the job. You'll be working on a steep site, so it's essential to wear hiking boots with raised, notched uppers, reinforced if possible to prevent the risk of injury. For leisure activities as well as on site, you need to bring clothing that is suited to the climate (temperatures can be very hot in summer). Don't forget sun protection (a hat or cap is essential, sunglasses and sunscreen with a high protection factor, etc.) and a swimming costume (no swimming shorts for men) for swimming at the water sports complex or whitewater activities. For sleeping, remember to take a duvet and a pillowcase (you can put things in it and easily make a pillow). You should also bring a backpack (in addition to your luggage), comfortable trainers and a pair of flip-flops. You'll also need to pack the following essential accessories: a mobile phone charger, a water bottle, a set of bandages and a headlamp or torch. Social events will be organised in collaboration with our leaders and according to your wishes. If you'd like to share a little of your culture (recipes, traditional stories, unusual objects, music, etc.), don't hesitate to take a little piece of your country/region in your backpack, as well as a small Bluetooth speaker! On the last day (14/08), the departure time is usually set in the morning.

Take part in the rehabilitation of an old mill, in the charming town of Isle, in the heart of the forest! You will continue to restore the mill area, clearing weeds, consolidating and solidifying the walls and rebuilding its destroyed parts. The area you will work on corresponds to the junction zone between the stream and the waterwheel mechanism. You will be supervised by a technical leader who will teach you different traditional methods.
The municipality of Isle plans to restore an old mill and its miller house in the forest located close to town. To do so, several volunteering works will be undertaken: the construction of a shelter for hunters, an educational room for the leisure centre, a hiking trail and the reactivation of the mill. Through this project, you will participate in this restoration and you will discover and share a human and cultural experience with the inhabitants of the town. You will also be near the French capital of porcelain, Limoges. More information: www.ville-isle.fr
Isle is a French town located in the department of Haute-Vienne in the New Aquitaine region, bordering the town of Limoges, famous for its porcelain, but rich in history and heritage. The commune benefits from an exceptional living environment where nature is omnipresent. In the town centre, flowery gardens, green spaces and leisure facilities are to be discovered alongside local shops and services. Just a few minutes walk away, Isle has a rural protected area shaped by the two valleys of the Vienne and Aurence rivers. Throughout the woods, meadows and fields, there are the several castles and manor houses that together make up the town, with an urban dynamism offered by the town of Limoges, only 5 minutes away.
You will be accommodated in individual tents, with sanitary facilities, a kitchen and a communal living room where you will enjoy a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside. You will share the various collective tasks (cleaning, activities, etc.) and prepare meals together. A budget will be allocated to the leaders, and you will help with the shopping and meal preparation, giving priority to healthy, local products. Our aim is to encourage vegetarian eating using local, seasonal produce, while respecting participants' diets and discovering local cuisine together. WIFI is available. The laundry will be done by hand.
The meeting point is scheduled at Limoges-Benedictins train station on the 31st of July at the end of the afternoon. The exact meeting time will be given with the infosheet which will be sent at the latest 4 weeks before the start of the workcamp. On the last day (14/08), the departure time is usually set in the morning. From Paris, you can take a train from Paris - Gare d’Austerlitz train station, regular departures are scheduled throughout the day to Limoges (about one train every hour). The trip lasts around 3 and a half hours. If you are coming by plane first, remember that you will need some time to commute from the airport to the train station, therefore we recommend that you arrive early enough for you not to rush and have a stress free travel. If possible, please consider using low-carbon emissions transportation (train and bus rather than aeroplane) for a sustainable international workcamp. The trains are open to booking about 4 months before the departure dates, accessible on the following website: https://www.sncf-connect.com/en-en/
Bring a sleeping bag for cold weather, a mat or a thick sleeping mattress depending on your need for comfort, work clothes, sports shoes, warm and rain clothes, a flashlight, a swimsuit and sunscreen. Don’t hesitate to bring anything interesting to share from your home country/region (traditional recipes, folklore stories, music, games, intriguing objects…) if you would like to share!. Foreigners belonging to the European Union must bring with them a personal EHIC (European Health Insurance Card), and everybody must, in any case, bring their insurance certificate. If health issues happen during the project, volunteers will have to pay for them personally, and will be reimbursed once back in their home country.

Revitalize the depopulated village though working and interacting with local people!
Maintenance at the national historic site (Akagi Castle ruins). Cleaning of ditches and maintenance of turn mirrors in the area. Re-repair of public toilets that have been maintained in previous work camps. Think about what can be done to boost the future of depopulated and ageing areas. Volunteers will learn and feel about situation of seriously depopulated area in Japan.
"This project is actively working for SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), organized together with Association for Promotion of Regional Development in Nishiyama area, Kumano city where is depopulated in Mie prefecture since 2017. There are about 220 residents whose 73% is over 65 years old in Nishiyama area where volunteers will mainly stay. One youth who had joined an international workcamp in the past, has started organizing weekend workcamps since 2011 in Nishiyama area. 5 years later, local people have been getting open-minded to youths from outside of the area. Since the local people are getting too old to maintain public places such as parks or ruins of a castle, they need hands from international volunteers! Last year, more local elderly people got involved in the camp because the volunteers actively helped the work a lot and practiced traditional Japanese dance together. This year, local high school students may be invited to join a part of the camp. *Outcome of this workcamp: Please see the long term goal of this project as ""Local SDGs"" at https://www.slideshare.net/nice-workcamp/2019-wp5 (only Japanese for the moment, but you can at least enjoy the pictures!). The local people and vols. sometimes cry on the last days. In 2019, 7 vols. from 4 countries worked well."

A small welcoming town, a green municipal team, a pleasant living environment in the heart of Auvergne, for a nice workcamp in the heights! The municipality of Saint-Germain-Lembron values the traces of its past, by safeguarding the historical heritage still present. It recently discovered an old dovecote (pigeon house), a small stone tower that appeared when a building with which it was intertwined was destroyed! Last summer, an international work camp was organised to restore two facades of the dovecote, using a traditional manual lime masonry technique that is as environmentally friendly as possible: two facades therefore remain to be completed for this new 2024 work camp. You will spend about 30 hours a week on this site, working alongside a technical leader : removing the old coat using chisels, sledgehammers and metal brushes and repointing the joints between the stones with a natural coat made of lime and sand. Your involvement and that of the group will enable us to obtain a beautiful "exposed stone" finish for the dovecote. You will be working high up next to the pigeon house, on scaffolding. If you suffer from vertigo, this is probably not the best workcamp for you! If you are not afraid, working in heights is generally a very pleasant experience and allows you to enjoy a beautiful panorama.
The town has already hosted international workcamps and has a very positive image. You will meet people who are involved in ecological issues and who develop many actions with the inhabitants. For example, last winter, the school children planted a large orchard. This workcamp fully integrates this militant and sustainable development approach.
Saint-Germain-Lembron is a small town of 2000 inhabitants, located next to the town of Issoire. It is crossed by several rivers such as the Lembron, hence its name. Its medieval church, its atypical fountains and its small castle allow it to preserve a heritage of typical Auvergne character. You will have unlimited access to the gymnasium in front of your place of living, to organise sports activities (badminton, football, volleyball, basketball, gymnastics...). The municipality will ask local associations to help you discover the region. The programme for your free time includes hiking on the volcanoes, swimming in lakes and rivers, initiation to pétanque or participation in concerts and local festivals.
You will be accompanied by two camp leaders throughout your stay. You will stay at the Centre Jeanne d'Arc, in the village, about fifteen minutes walk from the site. You will sleep in two rooms on large gymnastic mattresses (men and women separated). You will have a fully equipped community kitchen, showers and toilets, a large room for collective life and a terrace where you can sit in the cool shade of the trees. The site is closed and will be reserved for your group. The group will be sharing the cleaning chores and preparing meals together. The budget will be allocated to the group leader and you will participate in the preparation of meals, prioritising products from the market and local producers. Wi-Fi is available in the campsite. You will be hand washing your laundry or there is a launderette in town (for a fee).
Foreigners belonging to the European Union must bring with them a personal EHIC (European Health Insurance Card), and everybody must, in any case, bring their insurance certificate. If health issues arise on the project, volunteers will have to pay for it, and will then be reimbursed once back in their home country. For more information visit: https://www.issoire-tourisme.com/
The meeting point is at the train station of LE-BREUIL-SUR-COUZE (63) at the end of the afternoon. The exact time of the meeting will be communicated with the Info Sheet, sent one month before the beginning of the workcamp. It is a small station on the Clermont-Ferrand - Brioude line, served several times a day. From Paris or Lyon, several trains a day leave for Clermont-Ferrand. The trains are open to booking about 4 months before the departure dates, accessible on the following website: https://www.sncf-connect.com/en-en/
Bring work clothes, walking boots and a backpack. Bring warm clothes for outdoor evenings and a sleeping bag. You can also bring recipes from your home country, musical instruments and games. You will get around Saint-Germain-Lembron by foot, car and by minibus. On the last day (23/08), the departure time is usually set in the morning.

Michels Kleinsthof is working for the utopia of a sustainable, resilient, and grandchild-friendly agriculture to come true. More than 50 different crops are grown on one hectare using the “Market Gardening” principle. We are part of the movement “Community based agriculture” (in Germany it is called “Solidarity Farming- Solidarische Landwirtschaft” ). This means members are involved in the work on a weekly basis in order to bring sustainable food production to the people. School classes are allowed to experience agriculture first hand and enjoy looking after chicken, sheep and bees. There is a great variety of tasks in our diverse garden! Diversity makes us independent of the agricultural industries. And it is also useful for our fellow creatures of all kinds. We deliver a big part of our products to our 80 members of Solidarity Farming and another part we sell at the market in the picturesque nearby town of Staufen. However, Michel's micro-farm sees itself not only as a food producer, but also as a place of learning and a nature conservation project! Agriculture is the number one cause of species extinction worldwide and is responsible for 25% of the greenhouse gases that are harmful to the climate. On one of the most fertile soils in Germany, in a beautiful spot between the Vosges and the Black Forest, the micro-farm sets a counter-example to the monocultures of the rest of the Rhine Valley.
You help is needed in the construction of a tiny house for multifunctional using, made from straw bales, clay and wood. First structures has been build up by the workcamp in 2023 and now you have the chance to finish the facility. Another manual labour will be to renovate other facilities on the farm.In August, every garden is in the fullness of its harvest season! Tomatoes sweetened by the sun, courgettes and cucumbers growing at a fast speed and need hard-working hands and hungry mouths. But the weeds don't stop growing either. That's why there will be the opportunity to help out in the daily business of Market gardening like harvesting, weeding, planting seeds and caring of small plants in the nursery all the time! In other words, there would not only be the opportunity to experience the multifaceted gardening at first hand, but also to master manual and physical work in a team. So if you have extra energy, you are more than welcome!
ICJA was founded as a reconciliation program between the U.S. and Germany in 1949. The original mission of ICJA was to promote international understanding and to work towards a world in which tolerance and peace prevail. By the inclusion of various partner countries, the idea to form a development cooperation became gradually more important. Thus, the ICJA is founder member of the international federation "International Cultural Youth Exchange" (ICYE), which consists of several National Committees in 34 countries. In 1987, the ICYE received the award as "Peace Messenger". Since 2009, ICJA is approved as an official project of the UNESCO Decade of Education for Sustainable Development. ICJA is both, a sending and hosting organization for long term volunteers. ICJA organizes volunteering services for German citizens of different ages in over 40 countries on every continent. ICJA simultaneously accompanies and supports volunteers from across the world working in social, political or ecological projects in Germany. Our volunteers usually stay for 12 months, in exceptional cases for 6 months. For further information, please consult our website: www.icja.de Youth Action for Peace – Christlicher Friedensdienst or yap-cfd started in the year 1923 as a circle of people engaged against the war. It expanded to an international union of people who try to build bridges of understanding and to mitigate misery. The main request of yap-cfd is to reduce national and cultural prejudices and animosity among people and to promote mutual tolerance. Since 2013, yap-cfd is part of ICJA but still organize international work camps in Germany. These international meetings are supposed to help young people to get to know different cultures and social systems through first-hand experience so that they can reflect on their own cultural ideas and communicate with others about cultural norms and differences. Yap-cfd gives young people the opportunity to learn about other people, other cultures, how to live in a group, how to make decisions together... Yap-cfd fights against al kind of discrimination and racism and wants to support all participants to become active citizen in their societies. Volunteers with special needs: International workcamps should be open to everyone. If there are volunteers who need individual support to join a workcamp, please contact us. We will try to find a way to host them.
Michels Kleinsthof is located between the Black Forest and the Vosges in the border triangle in one of the most beautiful regions of Germany. A nearby quarry pond can be easily reached after work with bicycles provided by the farm and the young, alternative and beautiful student city of Freiburg is also less than 10 minutes away by train. The farm itself is located in a small village called Tunsel, but the entire region is bursting with nature and cultural tourism opportunities. If you are travelling by plane, we would very much appreciate it if you could extend your stay in Central Europe even further, so as not to use climate-damaging mobility just for our project. Terminal: Bad Krozingen, near Freiburg. Nearest airports: Basel, Stuttgart
Most of the organic seasonal food comes directly from the field to your plate. Everything else that is needed will be purchased. The diet will be predominantly vegetarian. Cooking will take place together in the outdoor kitchen and there will also be the possibility to cook a "classic" dish from your country of origin. Next to the kitchen, there is also a fireplace for sitting together in the evening, so your musical instruments are most welcome! We will also use the clay oven for pizza at least once. As far as sleeping is concerned, we will either set up a communal tent directly on the field or will provide some beds in construction trailers. A small hutch will serve as our shower, a composting toilet is already part of the sanitary facilities in the field. Please be ready to live in very basic conditions; you will live outdoors most of the time and near to nature. The work can be physically demanding.
Please bring a sleeping bag, swimwear and preferably sturdy shoes for working in the garden. Please note that you will get dirty in the garden, so clothes that can get dirty and are old are recommended. Remember that the sunshine and heat peaks in August and you should bring suitable headgear and sufficient sun protection. Long-sleeved, thin clothing will also work for this. Important remark:The living conditions will be very simple, so please be prepared. Note that it is not recommended to attend if you are allergic to weed.
