For this edition of the Belgian National Games, volunteers will help on several aspects of the event logistics, such as assembling and dismantling of structures, building and putting up the decorations, transport and unloading of material, waste management. Volunteers will work with several teams of the organisation before and after the Games. During the 3 days of competitions, volunteers will provide guidance to athletes for one of the disciplines of the competition: a precision ball sport, related to bowls and "pétanque" called Bocce. The Opening Ceremony as well as the Torch Run will take place on May 9th while the Games will close the 11 of May. Physical work will be asked to volunteers so it is important to take this into account. Volunteers will also have lighter tasks like guidance of athletes, decorations, waste management, etc.
Every year, Special Olympics Belgium organises the National Games. In 2024, the Games will be held in La Louvière. More than 3,000 athletes, accompanied by 1,200 coaches, are taking part in the Games in around twenty sports disciplines. Changing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities through sport and promoting their social inclusion. This has been the mission of Special Olympics since it was founded in 1968 by Eunice Kennedy Shriver in the United States. And it works! Since then, Special Olympics has become an international movement active in 193 countries, with more than 5.5 million athletes with a mental disability taking part in adapted sports training and Olympic-type sports competitions, as well as participating in the Healthy Athletes Programme and much more. Special Olympics Belgium was founded in 1979 and is officially recognized by the Belgian Olympic and Interfederal Committee. It organises National Games every year (alternatively in Flanders, Brussels and Wallonia) and send delegations of Belgian athletes to the Winter and Summer Special Olympics World Games. These competitions are open to any athlete with intellectual disability who regularly practise a sport at his/her own level. More than just a physical and sport training, these activities enhance the social development of the athletes.
The 2024 National Games will take place at La Louvière, reachable by train from Brussels.
Volunteers will be accommodated in dormitories/bungalows on the Olympics Village site. Please bring a sleeping bag. Meals will be taken with the different teams of the organisation and will be prepared by local volunteers. Vegetarian food will be available but should be asked in advance.
This workcamp requires physical efforts at some moments. Volunteers are asked to prove a strong interest for the thematic of this event. There will be one free day before and one free day after the competition. Please bring good working shoes and clothes that can get dirty as well as a raincoat in case of rainy weather.

SEEDS’ programme combines learning, sharing, hands-on activities, getting to know Iceland, its culture, having fun, exploring the city and its attractions, as stunning natural attractions in possible excursions. Participants should prepare to share environmental issues from their countries and should be ready to spend time outdoors walking medium distances during activities and sightseeing. Note this project is a learning/sharing camp and not a standard workcamp. This project has a smaller volunteer work part and puts a bigger emphasis on the personal learning process than on the community impact. One of the two options below is also included in this camp as a hands-on volunteering activity day: 1. A day trip to the Hot River area, combined with a cleanup or work with an environmental project in the area, or 2. A day trip to the Reykjanes peninsula, combined with a coastal cleanup in the area.
During this camp, participants can share their love for (and learn more about) global & local environmental issues, as well as photography. If you are interested in topics such as climate change, waste management, animal protection and sustainability, and you also love taking photographs or want to develop your photography skills, then this project is for you! While developing artistic and technical photography skills, you will be focusing on environmental and sustainability issues through non-formal activities such as workshops, discussions, presentations and visits facilitated by SEEDS. One of our aims is to help create more environmentally aware consumers & travellers! You will visit local projects on environment and conservation. These may include hands-on activities or guided visits. Some examples include outdoor cleanup tasks, a geothermal power plant, a local fauna and/or flora exhibition or an outdoor Icelandic culture museum. Some of these activities are dependent on conditions such as weather, as well as availability or restrictions of our partner organisations. You will also have time to put the theory about photography into practice, walking around and exploring the city. At the end of the camp, the best photographs from each participant are selected for an online exhibition on SEEDS' social media. Participants should bring their own digital cameras, lenses, tripods and laptops if possible.

This camp allows volunteers to learn about global and local environmental issues through non-formal educational activities such as workshops, discussions, presentations and visits, as well as to contribute directly to environmental protection by joining outdoor coastal cleanup tasks in the shores and beaches. Additional work will be undertaken in the area of our accommodation such as removing old fences dangerous to wildlife and visitors, as well as helping with renovation and maintenance of the house. We may also be marking some walking paths and, depending on the advance of the mentioned tasks, volunteers might do some forestry tasks in a small forest planted in the area, like trimming the vegetation or planting some trees. This camp combines learning, sharing, hands-on work and fun. No previous experience is needed. Volunteers should prepare to share environmental issues from their countries and be ready to spend time outdoors, walking during the cleanups. Volunteers should be ready to adapt and be flexible with the work and free-time schedule, as depending on the weather, we may not be able to perform some of the planned activities.
The Awareness, Engagement and Action project is part of a series of camps organised by SEEDS in cooperation with different partners, where we try to raise awareness about current environmental issues and encourage the volunteers to take action One of our main goals for the next few years is to contribute to a nation-wide project aiming at cleaning up the Icelandic coastline. SEEDS works along and supports the Icelandic ministry for Environment and Natural Resources, the Icelandic Environmental organisation Landvernd, the Environmental Agency of Iceland, Umhverfisstofnun and other partners in order to draw attention to the issues of ocean pollution, plastic waste and to engage volunteers in cleaning up actions around the country. Alliksaare Farm s main direction is horse breeding. At the moment there are around 150 horses on the farm. The work is diverse: it is to take care and maintain the pastures located by the sea - clearing around the pastures, building or removing fences, repairing fences, cleaning the stable. Another work is cleaning the coast nearby the farm from rubbish brought by storms. There can be some work for preparing food for horses for a winter time. But the most important work is with horses directly - taking care of them and to train horses. We have horses of any age, but mostly young horses, so depending on your experience and willingness to learn, it is possible to learn how to take care and train horses of all ages. For example socializing and training foals, halter train yearlings and saddle and/or carriage train young horses. The work will be mainly outdoors. Working time is 6-7 hours a day. Work will be done under some supervision and guidance of the local host but also quite a lot independently.
Hiiumaa, according to the Nordic sagas, emerged from the Baltic Sea as a small islet more than 10 000 years ago. The island of Hiiumaa was first mentioned in historical documents as a deserted island called Dageida in 1228. The first inhabitants settled down at the end of the 13th century. The school was founded in 2016 and the pupils enrolment is 444 pupils, 226 boys and 218 girls. The school has 15 teachers teaching right from the early childhood education, primary school and junior primary school. The school has 6 permanent and 4 semi-permanent classrooms, staffroom and an administration block. The school is located on 0.9 acres that has adequate room for expansion. It is located in a densely populated area in Vihiga county of Western Kenya, an area that receives rainfall throughout the year and hence the local community members are food sufficient as the communal land is utilized for small-scale agriculture that is the foremost economic driver of the people at the grassroots. THEME: Girl child education Girls’ education goes beyond getting girls into school. It is also about ensuring that girls learn and feel safe while in school; complete all levels of education with the skills to effectively compete in the labor market; learn the socio-emotional and life skills necessary to navigate and adapt to a changing world; make decisions about their own lives; and contribute to their communities and the world. Girls’ education is a strategic development priority. Better-educated women tend to be healthier, participate more in the formal labor market, earn higher incomes, have fewer children, marry at a later age, and enable better health care and education for their children, should they choose to become mothers. All these factors combined can help lift households, communities, and nations out of poverty. According to UNESCO estimates, 130 million girls between the age of 6 and 17 are out of school and 15 million girls of primary-school age— half of them in sub-Saharan Africa— will never enter a classroom. Poverty remains the most important factor for determining whether a girl can access an education. For example, in Nigeria, only 4 percent of poor young women in the North West zone can read, compared with 99 percent of rich young women in the South East. Studies consistently reinforce that girls who face multiple disadvantages — such as low family income, living in remote or underserved locations, disability or belonging to a minority ethno-linguistic group — are farthest behind in terms of access to and completion of education. Violence also negatively impact access to education and a safe environment for learning. For example, in Haiti, recent research highlights that one in three Haitian women (ages 15 to 49) has experienced physical and/or sexual violence, and that of women who received money for sex before turning 18 years old, 27 percent reported schools to be the most common location for solicitation. Child marriage is also a critical challenge. Child brides are much more likely to drop out of school and complete fewer years of education than their peers who marry later. This affects the education and health of their children, as well as their ability to earn a living. According to a recent report, more than 41,000 girls under the age of 18 marry every day and putting an end to the practice would increase women’s expected educational attainment, and with it, their potential earnings. According to estimates, ending child marriage could generate more than $500 billion in benefits annually each year Every day, girls face barriers to education caused by poverty, cultural norms and practices, poor infrastructure, violence, and fragility. The WBG has joined with governments, civil society organizations, multilateral organization, the private sector, and donors to advance multi-sectoral approaches to overcome these challenges. Working together with girls and women, the WBG focus includes: Providing conditional cash transfers, stipends or scholarships; Reducing distance to school; Targeting boys and men to be a part of discussions about cultural and societal practices; Ensuring gender-sensitive curricula and pedagogies; Hiring and training qualified female teachers; Building safe and inclusive learning environments for girls and young women; Ending child/early marriage; and Addressing violence against girls and women
Manual work and Intercultural activities: Teaching Playing with children Sand harvesting Sensitization on the effects of female Genital Mutilation (FGM) to the children, parents and the entire community Empowering the vulnerable in society with focus on children Promotion of safe male circumcision Home visits to the orphans and the vulnerable in society Inter-cultural education to foster global cooperation

PHASE ONE: PREPARATION During this phase, the festival is taking form, as we build it up from the ground, starting from the basics as tents and practical stuff, and finishing off with the small final details. Every year we come up with new ideas and plans, we need to decorate the whole area, and that includes building graffiti walls, painting signs, and placing items around the festival. There will of course be a lot of time in the beginning to get to know each other. PHASE TWO: THE FESTIVAL This phase is the most stressful but also the most fun! In this phase of the festival, we invite all our beautiful guests to the festival we created in the last couple of days. There will be shifts for every volunteer in different locations, such as the entrance, festival area, cleaning toilets, and other jobs. There will of course be space for a lot of fun and just vibing. PHASE THREE: CLEANING This phase starts already Sunday morning when the guests begin to return home, as we pack everything down. This mostly takes us all of Sunday, so there will be time to pack up and say goodbye on Monday. FREETIME: Since the camp is so short there will be no days off. The closer we get to the start of the festival there would be more to do. Working hours from Tuesday till Thursday will be from 10:00 in the morning till 20:00. Friday and Saturday there will only be a few shifts we have to cover, and the rest is time off, where you can meet Danish people and experience our festival.

We value the spirit of the youth, culture, and all different kinds of art and music. Please take a look at our Instagram to see what we do: https://www.instagram.com/gnistfestival/
The area is close to the sea, and it is a bit out in the countryside. The area is an old military missile launcher site, but it’s empty except for two garages we use. The event is at the start of May, and therefore it can be good to bring some nice fleeces and cozy clothing when you’re going to be outside all day!
Sleeping + bathroom facilities: The festival has a sleeping area, where during the actual festival days, the guests and the volunteers will sleep in tents. We will also sleep in that area on the days leading up to the festival days. We can provide tents for you. You just need to bring sleeping bags and an air mattress or similar. Let us know if you need anything, we can maybe lend you it. We will have a trailer bathroom available for you. Meals + kitchen facilities: The food will be made by our food and drink provider Jens! He owns the nearby restaurant and will ensure you have plenty of food for all activities until the festival begins, where there will then be food stands.
Language English will be the only language spoken. All participants must be willing to speak English, even though they are from the same country or have trouble with the English language. Try your best! It is very important for us, to get volunteers that are creative, and who can take initiative. We are looking for volunteers who are independent and will contribute to the project with innovative ideas.
Meeting Point and Time: Store Heddinge St. May 7th between 13:00-15:00. Arrival at Copenhagen Airport: To make it to your meeting point in time, your flight must arrive no later than 12:00 on the first camp day. From the airport, you take a train to Copenhagen Central St. From there you can take a train to Køge St. where there is a bus that goes to Store Heddinge St. Total travel time from the airport to the meeting point will be approximately 2 hours and cost around 20 €. Just let us know if anything happens so we can help you out. Further details on travel arrangements and purchasing of train/bus tickets will be provided in your infosheet after acceptance. If you are not able to make it in time to the meeting point, please consider arriving one day early and booking a hostel.

The main task is harvesting various berries and vegetables such as rhubarb, currants, raspberries, Japanese quince, then helping juice making and products packaging. But there is also weed control and fertilization with mulch in plantations, mowing grass, cutting branches, removal of bushes and wood chipping, assistance in the construction of various small buildings, vegetable beds and other necessary structures on the site, painting as well. And there is ongoing work of planting seeds. Working hours are 5-7 hours a day for 5 days a week. The exact work depends on season and partly on weather conditions.
For many years EstYES has been cooperating with eco-farms around Estonia demonstrating solidarity and respect to their work and supporting local people, who keep agricultural traditions and develop eco-farming in Estonia. Organic farm Kingu is one of them. This is a berry, fruit and vegetable micro-farm in the South Estonia. The main berry crops are raspberries, various currants, gooseberries, Japanese quince, garlic and rhubarb. Everything is grown in an environmentally sustainable way using straw and hay. The farm promotes sustainable lifestyle, and this camp is proposed for volunteers who appreciate and share its values, want to learn more and to help hard working people in country side.
LocationThe farm is located in Kanepi municipality just 11km from Otepaa and 47km from Tartu. When coming from Tartu, choose a bus to Voru and get off at the Saverna stop. Buses stop there quite often, travel takes about 40 minutes. Also you can come through Otepaa. Knowing you arrival time and place hosts will pick you up from there. Bus information is on www.tpilet.ee or www.luxexpress.ee. The farm is located in the tiny village of Aiaste. It is important to understand that it is calm and quiet place (there are no events in the village). But with nice weather, it is possible to see deer in the field, foxes in a strawberry bed and storks. While sitting by the fire at night, enjoy stars in the sky and listen to the nature sounds by animals such as badgers or raccoons.Leisure timeIt is possible to swim, make a fire, play volleyball, disc golf and other games or go for mushroom picking if you like it. There is a swimming lake in Valgjarv 4 km away. You can use various hiking trails. If interested you can visit nearby farms where you can get to know horses, sheep and other animals and see many other interesting things. There is very nice restaurant nearby https://kodas.ee/restaurant/ and Cantervilla Castle where you can have fun in the water park. More info on www.cantervilla.ee
Farm life conditions are simple. Sleeping is in a separate house in beds. Bed sheets, blankets and pillows are provided, so no need for sleeping bag.
SEEDS programme combines learning, sharing, hands-on activities, getting to know Iceland, its culture, having fun, exploring the city and its attractions, as stunning natural attractions in possible excursions. One of the two options below is also included in this camp as a hands-on volunteering activity day:1. A day trip to the Hot River area, combined with a cleanup or work with an environmental project in the area, or2. A day trip to the Reykjanes peninsula, combined with a coastal cleanup in the area.
During this camp, participants can share their love for (and learn more about) global and local environmental issues, as well as photography. If you are interested in topics such as climate change, waste management, animal protection and sustainability, and you also love taking photographs or want to develop your photography skills, then this project is for youWhile developing artistic and technical photography skills, you will be focusing on environmental and sustainability issues through non-formal activities such as workshops, discussions, presentations and visits facilitated by SEEDS. One of our aims is to help create more environmentally aware consumers and travellersYou will visit local projects on environment and conservation. At the end of the camp, the best photographs from each participant are selected for an online exhibition on SEEDS social media. Participants should bring their own digital cameras, lenses, tripods and laptops if possible.
Reykjavik is a dynamic, modern city which lives in harmony with nature, using renewable energy sources. The world s northernmost capital bridges the Atlantic, between Europe and North America. Mornings will be devoted to renovating the association's premises. On the programme, you'll be repainting the interiors of this recently renovated building and helping to make it a warm and welcoming place. You'll also be lending a hand with the overall project for this third place Ecocycle, a collective space for sharing, through its shared gardens and participatory workshops.
Nestled in the hollow of a green valley, the town of St Amand de Coly is located in the heart of the Périgord Noir, a territory rich in history! Composed of two former municipalities that decided to join forces to form one. The town is home to the Ecocycle association, a third place that is developing a participatory activity project in Saint Amand de Coly and the surrounding area. These activities are strongly influenced by concerns about climate change. You will help the association and its volunteers to prepare the building to welcome its members. You'll discover the local people's sense of welcome and the charm of the countryside and heritage, as you work with the other volunteers to organise your programme of activities.
Coly - St Amand is located in Périgord Noir, 10 km from the caves of Lascaux, between Périgueux and Brive. Leisure activities: Site visits, nature activities, you will build your own entertainment program with the leaders and the other participants. We favour a discovery of the territory and these actors over consumption activities.
You will be welcomed at the Vieux logis de Saint Amand. Sleeping accommodation in rooms of 2 to 3 people. Meals will be cooked and eaten collectively, so you can take it in turns to prepare some tasty dishes, so come along with your own recipes.
You will have to take a train to Condat-Le Lardin (2 hours from Bordeaux and 4 hours from Toulouse). The leaders will meet you at Condat-Le Lardin train station in the end of the afternoon.

You will take care of several sculptures on the path and restore them to their original state. Weather and people have left their mark: The stone of the sculptures needs to be brushed to remove moss and lichen, and some sculptures are also sprayed with graffiti. For others, the subsurface needs to be renewed or maintained. The explanatory plates for the objects will also be replaced. In addition, you will completely renew the barbecue area, which is part of the 9km long trail. This area is intended to invite people to combine arts, nature and community.
Over water - over land: this is the name of Europe's first cross-border sculpture trail. In 2000, twelve internationally renowned artists realised ideas and thoughts on the theme of borders - dividing and uniting - in sculptures. Embedded in the marvellous landscape of the High Rhine, this path is a cultural symbol of friendship and connects the places on both sides of the river and the German- Swiss border. Now, almost 25 years after its construction, the sculpture trail needs some maintenance. The citizens of Hohentengen would therefore be delighted if this could be done with the help of international volunteers completely in the spirit of the path's artistic message.
Hohentengen am Hochrhein lies in the south of Germany, in a kind of bubble surrounded on three sides by Switzerland. Only the Rhine separates the village from Switzerland. The village offers unspoilt nature, numerous sports and leisure facilities (beach volleyball, swimming pools, water sports ...). Mountain ranges on the northern edge of the municipality, the Rhine Valley opens up to the south, the Rhine glistens in the plain and the Alps in Switzerland greet you on the horizon when visibility is good. With its 3,600 inhabitants, Hohentengen offers the entire infrastructure you could wish for: supermarkets, shops, pubs and much more.
You will be accommodated in the local multipurpose hall in the centre of the village which is otherwise used for sports and events. This offers plenty of space, a small kitchen and enough sanitary facilities for everyone. Camp beds are provided.. Please bring your own sleeping bag and pillow (if required). Your group of volunteers will be responsible for grocery shopping and cooking together. The food will be bought with the camp budget and everybody will take turns for cooking, washing the dishes and cleaning. In order to reduce our carbon footprint on the planet, we encourage volunteers to reduce meat and try more sustainable dishes.

SEEDS volunteers will be mostly working on the hiking trails and walking paths in this beautiful mountanious area. The main tasks of the volunteers will be making and marking the walking trails on the different routes in the area. The work is physical and tools may include the sledge (sledgehammer) and crowbar. Well maintained paths enable people to visit these amazing areas without damaging them and this important work also helps to improve safety for visitors. Additional tasks may be cleaning or beautifying the surroundings, like hand-picking garbage or collecting trash blown by the wind or brought by some visitors. Some of the trails are located in an isolated area and the group may spend the day at the work site, therefore it will be needed to prepare packed lunches in the morning as we would return in the late afternoon back to the accommodation. The group may be split during the day to work in different locations. The working day normally runs from 09:00 to 17:00 with breaks for lunch and coffee; however, please be prepared for some flexibility due to the nature of Iceland s changeable weather. No previous experience is necessary but the work is demanding and requires a good physical condition; it can at times be repetitive. As it is outdoors work, volunteers shall be ready to adapt and be flexible with the working and free-time schedule, as depending on the weather, we may not be able to perform some of the tasks or activities planned.Volunteers need to be prepared for working and walking in a raw landscape and sometimes cold weather. Be prepared to experience all kinds of weather and bring warm clothes as the tasks take place outside and it can get cold. Bring warm under-layers, waterproofs, walking shoes/boots, a good sleeping bag and gloves.

: Being part of our volunteer and stewarding team is an amazing opportunity to carry out some meaningful volunteering whilst also having the opportunity to enjoy all Elderflower Fields has to offer (for no cost!). You will be part of the amazing community which comes together to make the festival happen, many of whom come back year after year and will be on hand to show you the ropes. It is a hugely rewarding experience in which you will have an amazing time and make great friends. Volunteers will be part of the field team – the eyes and ears of the festival. Volunteering in pairs, you will look after a specific area of the event and act as a contact point for the guests. Therefore, it is important that you have a good level of listening and speaking English! You may be answering questions, offering directions and helping people find their way around the site. After initial training and learning you will be able to identify if anything needs rectifying. You will be in contact with Event Control , reporting any incidents and feeding information to the public. This is a fantastic volunteering opportunity for anyone interested in getting into event management with real on-the-ground responsibility at a large arts event. As you will arrive a few days before the festival begins there will be several tasks to get the site ‘festival ready’ and after the festival there will be jobs to revert the site back to its Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Elderflower Fields was born in 2012 out of a desire to create a new festival designed especially for families and kids. The festival sold over a thousand tickets and everyone loved it, the sun was shining, kids played and people danced. The festival was so popular that it happened again in 2013 and then a new bigger venue in 2014. Pippingford Park is set in an Area of Outstanding natural beauty. The host intentionally keeps Elderflower Fields small – this is part of what makes it such a safe and special festival. Designed especially for those with young children as an opportunity for little festival first timers to dip their toes into a magical world of music, fun and nature. Families return year after year for a weekend filled with new experiences, exploration and celebration. Elderflower Fields is an independent festival, created by So Sussex and put together by a small but hardworking time to create a magical experience for their audience. The rest of the festival is made up of friends, family and amazing volunteers – hopefully including you!
Elderflower Fields is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – before the festival is running there will be lots of opportunities to explore and walk around the natural environment. During the festival you will have free time to enjoy and explore all the festival has to offer including music, food, activities and workshop, it really is amazing! You can look at last year's festival here - https://south.elderflowerfields.co.uk/2023-highlights-by-jakob/
Volunteers will be camping at the site, in the ‘crew paddock’ area which is used by all festival crew. Elderflower fields will provide the tents for volunteers, volunteers will have access to hot showers/hot water for the duration of the volunteering project. The Crew HQ is a sheltered area where volunteers are able to charge devices, rest and relax when not volunteering. There is a microwave and hot water urn at the Crew HQ, volunteers can bring any snacks/additional food they wish to consume during the festival – please be aware there is no oven and minimal fridge space, so non-perishable foods are advisable if you wish to bring anything additional. Volunteers will be provided with three meals a day. Cereal, Tea and Coffee will be provided at the Crew HQ for breakfast. Volunteers will receive a £10 ‘voucher’ for both Lunch and Dinner which can be utilised at any of the available food vendors. Since 2000 we have had volunteers around the world joining our summer programs which were designed around building sustainable vegetable farming facilities. Over the years we have learned that developing eco-friendly and sustainable farming facilities does require a lot of research on improving our farming methods, learning the best practices from local farmers on improving the crop quality and perseverance despite the setbacks which were imminent in harsh Mongolian continental climate, with long, frigid winters and short, warm summers. We are hoping to transform our eco-friendly vegetable farming facility into a sustainable organic farming training center which teaches the low income families how to grow healthy greens on their own. Organic fruits and vegetables are sparse and expensive in Mongolia which makes them unaffordable for many low income families. We are planning to donate any crops from our facilities to families in need in addition to providing them with the knowledge of how to grow their own crops.
The main works are planting vegetables such as potatoes, carrots, radishes, etc at the eco-farming camp. Also, volunteers may work on making fences to protect the farm, etc. Quite tiring but let's enjoy it. Eco farming methods/know from other countries.
MCE was established on January 11th, 2001 by an individual who had participated in the 3rd Training & Networking Workcamp of NVDA in Vietnam. Before 2000, there were no workcamp organizations or international voluntary service in Mongolia. However, there was much need for international voluntary projects to improve a Mongolian society. Through practical work projects, MCE hopes to encourage public awareness of Mongolia’s social problems and promote local actions. We promote exciting voluntary actions by fresh ideas and mobility as a youth NPO, to shift the world with too much competition and expansion into more healthy one for both nature and people. We create opportunities to meet new people and to start new actions by involving many locals. We make bridges between isolated NPOs and local people, and invite youth to depopulated areas. We grow exchange naturally among world youth and local people through living, working, talking and laughing together. They can improve global views/ sensitivity and language/ planning skills.

You can experience forestry work and relaxation in idyllic surroundings at this workcamp. You will live with 11 other young people from all over the world on the beautiful Noer youth campsite, which is located directly at the Baltic Sea. You will work at the Noer Castle, which is 1 km away, and will make the huge forest around the castle safe for traffic again by removing branches and undergrowth. You will also spend one day a week carrying out other small gardening and manual tasks.
The Society for Youth Facilities (Gesellschaft für Jugendeinrichtungen e.V.) has been running youth guesthouses on the North Sea and Baltic Sea since 1959. Under the brand "Leisure and Education by the Sea" (Freizeit und Bildung am Meer) the non-profit association pursues its educational mission in a very special way - because with the individually tailored programmes, young people and anyone else interested learn about the nature, culture and history of Schleswig-Holstein. The Noer youth campsite is located directly on the Baltic Sea beach and is mainly used by youth groups and for school trips. The Schloss Noer youth guesthouse is mainly used by choirs and orchestras, but also by families and youth groups. The ijgd has been organising volunteer service programmes since 1949. We are an independent, non-profit association for international youth work, a recognised independent youth welfare organisation, and one of the largest and oldest workcamp organisations in Germany. Each year, we assist around 5,000 young people into volunteer work in Germany and abroad. We give them the opportunity to be creative, act in solidarity, take responsibility for themselves, and discover their own true potential and strengths. Our principles: Ecological learning, voluntary contribution, self-organisation, social development, intercultural learning, gender equality, anti-racism/anti-discrimination and political education. The Noer youth campsite is located directly on the beautiful, unspoilt Baltic Sea beach and has a football pitch, a volleyball court and a table tennis table. You can also lie on the beach or swim in the Baltic Sea, which is still very cold at this time of year. On the grounds of Noer Castle you can also play disc golf or use the barbecue hut. Trips to Hamburg and Kiel are worthwhile at the weekend.

You cook together. Money for shopping will be provided. Vegetarian or vegan meals are possible. Please indicate any intolerances when registering. There are also two showers and two toilets in the house. The campsite has a football pitch, a volleyball court and a table tennis table. This camp allows volunteers to learn about global and local environmental issues through non-formal educational activities such as workshops, discussions, presentations and visits, as well as to contribute directly to environmental protection by joining outdoor coastal cleanup tasks in the shores and beaches.
