Work

During World War II, nine above-ground bunker facilities were built to temporarily store V2 rockets. Volunteers will help preserve the remaining bunker structures by cutting grass, clearing pathways, and making the remnants more visible to the community. These bunkers and their history give Peenemünde its unique character. By contributing to this project, volunteers help to preserve an important part of German history so that it is not forgotten. The Historical-Technical Museum will provide tools, work gloves, and bicycles for commuting to the worksite.

Location

Location: The town of Peenemünde, with around 400 inhabitants and surrounded by untouched nature, has a rich and eventful history. It is located in the northern part of the island of Usedom and is best known for the first successful rocket launch into space. During the Nazi era, Peenemünde was home to Europe’s largest research center, where "secret weapons" such as the V2 rocket were developed. Leisure: Excursions are possible, such as visits to the beach right on site or in the nearby town of Karlshagen, as well as a short trip to Świnoujście in Poland. Bicycles are available.

Accomodation

Volunteers will stay in cozy vintage trailers on the grounds of a youth hostel. Pillows, blankets, and mattresses will be provided. There will be freshly cooked, delicious meals, including vegetarian options for dinner and sandwiches for breakfast and lunch.

Aim of the project: With the mission of sustainable living and community development. Volunteers will play a vital role in preserving the village’s natural environment, promoting eco-friendly practices, and supporting local initiatives. By participating in various tasks, such as organic farming, education, and community outreach, volunteers will contribute to creating a more sustainable and self-sufficient village. Their involvement will not only benefit the local community but also provide them with a unique opportunity to learn about different cultures, gain valuable skills, and experience the beauty of sustainable living Volunteers will teach English to children from 3 to 17 years old (about 15 students per class) and adults, focusing on communication. Besides, the volunteers will support the local villagers in their daily tasks, such as in the kitchen, reception, restaurant, farms, and other manual work, to maintain the beauty and preserve the culture of the village.

Every year, VPV cooperates with V.GO (Vietnam Global Outreach organize different international workcamp as well as send International volunteers to support sustainable living, promote eco-tourism and preserve ethnic cultures of Vietnam in Thai Hai Village. Thai Hai Village - one of 32 ‘Best Tourism Villages 2022’ by UN Tourism. Thai Hai Village is the result of Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Hai's dedication to preserve traditional cultural values of Tay ethnic group in Vietnam and contribute to building a just and humane society and sustainable development. More than 30 original stilt houses, at least half a century old was rebuilt and restored in a natural area surrounded by hills and trees in Thai Hai Village. Not only the house's structure but also the ethos of Tay culture, the soul and vitality of the traditional values were preserved and passed on from generation to generation. Day after day, the villagers cultivate and raise livestock, grow fruits and green tea to accommodate for their daily life, and to serve tourists who come to the village. Together, they form a community that “Eat Together, Share Together”, preserves and promotes their traditional cultural values. After a working day, they gather around the fireplace of the house and sing Then songs (Tay’s traditional singing) with “dan tinh” (traditional musical instrument), with flute and traditional “nang then” dance, together creating a very peaceful and cosy atmosphere.

Accomodation

Vegetarian options will be available. The volunteers will share meals with all the villagers (three meals per day). They will sleep in a dorm room. There are washing machines and hot water for the shower.

Location

LOCATION: Lohmen is a picturesque village in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, surrounded by untouched nature and several nature parks. With around 850 inhabitants, it offers a peaceful and close-knit community atmosphere. The village is particularly charming due to its historical landmarks, which provide insights into the region’s long history, as well as various recreational opportunities—including a labyrinth, sports fields, and an archaeological nature trail. Lohmen uniquely combines nature, history, and community, making it an ideal place for those who want to experience rural life in a culturally rich environment. LEISURE: Volunteers can explore the surroundings by water or go swimming together. Excursions to other cities, such as Rostock, are also possible.

Accomodation

ACCOMMODATION: Volunteers will be accommodated in a youth club located in a former kindergarten. The accommodation is simple and functional. Outside, there is a fire pit that invites everyone to gather in the evenings. The volunteers should bring sleeping bag and mattress pad with them, as the accommodation only provides mattresses but no blankets. FOOD: Meals will be prepared by the volunteers themselves. They can bring their own ideas and recipes, creating a diverse mix of traditional specialties, new creations, and shared culinary experiments.

You love heritage and nature and want to make a difference ? Come help to improve the heritage discovery trails in Clermont L'Hérault ! In addition to the renovation work, you'll have the chance to discover and take part in the organisation of a music festival at Lac du Salagou! You would like to go behind the scenes of a festival with a wide variety of music ? Then this is the place for you ! The municipality is keen to maintain these paths for the enjoyment of walkers. Discover the rich heritage of the commune, with its archaeological oppidum, its castle, its capitelles, its small dry-stone walls and its calades in an exceptional natural environment : close to the Lac du Salagou. Your job will be to highlight Clermont-Ferrand's heritage by carrying out small-scale landscaping work, clearing undergrowth and making safe the access roads and paths leading to these different sites. This work is essential to maintain these paths while allowing visitors, walkers and the curious from all walks of life to come and discover this rich heritage! What's more, you'll have 5 whole days devoted to the music festival. The festival begins on Wednesday 25 June. The concerts will take place in the evening on Friday and Saturday, while tidying up and dismantling are scheduled for Sunday 29 June.

Since 2015, we've had a very strong partnership with the town of Clermont l'Hérault and local associations that promote the discovery of the local heritage. This partnership, with the organisation of the Salagou en Scène festival, is unprecedented. Our delegation's offices are located in the commune. We also run a number of voluntary projects for young people in the area. We work closely with volunteers from local heritage associations. This project to enhance the calade on the communal path contributes to the enhancement of Clermont l'Hérault's heritage.

Location

Clermont L'Hérault is a charming little town north of Montpellier, in the south of France. Boasting a Mediterranean climate and a remarkable natural environment (Lac du Salagou, rivers of the Gorges de l'Hérault nearby), it also boasts a rich cultural heritage, with its castle and cathedral and its many festive and cultural attractions. In the heart of this unspoilt setting, you'll be able to enjoy the pleasures of outdoor activities and make cultural, festive and artistic discoveries.

Accomodation

You will be camping at Lac du Salagou, in individual tents (remember to bring your sleeping bag and sleeping mat). A communal room is available for group use. You will share the various group tasks and prepare meals together. A budget will be allocated to the leaders so that you can help with the shopping and preparation of meals, giving priority to vegetarian, healthy, local produce. You will eat with the other local volunteers during the 5 days of the festival.

Requirements

Foreigners belonging to the European Union must bring with them a personal EHIC (European Health Insurance Card), and everybody must, in any case, bring their insurance certificate. If health issues arise on the project, volunteers will have to pay for them, and will then be reimbursed once back in their home country. This project is supported by the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) program for young people between 18 and 30. It is open to all volunteers that fit the ESC criteria. The participation to ESC volunteering teams is subjected to several principles and conditions, presented on the ESC webpage: https://europa.eu/youth/solidarity/mission_en - volunteers do not have to pay any fee (neither sending, nor participation fee) to attend the project and will receive financial support for their travel, according to a maximum amount established depending on their travel distance and upon the presentation of original tickets; - volunteers need to enrol in the PASS, the ESC Portal; then Concordia France will organise their matching, on the online system, with the volunteering project; - volunteers will receive pocket money, calculated on the basis of 6€/day, once they arrive at the project in France; - volunteers will have to complete a participation report, submitted online through the portal.

Work

Volunteers will assist in the renovation and painting of school classrooms, drawing symbols and letters that will simplify reading and learning for early childhood education classes, establishing garbage disposal sites including trash bins in the classes, and providing education on how to separate and dispose of garbage. They will also organize extracurricular activities for kids and teenagers (7-17 years old) after school hours. This could include sports, games, English language lessons, arts, crafts, and remedial classes.

Some studies have proved that children spend more time in school than at home during the week. In this regard, the physical environment of school buildings and school grounds is therefore a key factor in the overall health and safety of pupils, teachers, non-teaching staff, and visitors. School buildings and grounds are expected to be designed and maintained to be free of health and safety hazards and to promote learning. A friendly environment for children will increase their performance, hence contributing to their future. This project is therefore complementing the efforts of the host community in improving learning facilities to support children's future. The host of this project is Mbahe/Ng’aroni Primary Schools in Marangu.

Location

The word "Marangu" means a place with many water streams. It is one of the most popular places in Tanzania. Located at the foot of Africa's tallest mountain, the quaint village of Marangu offers fascinating insight into both modern Tanzanian life and the lives of the Chagga people, who once withstood vicious Masai raids through the ingenious use of tunnels. The majority of residents are farmers growing bananas, vegetables, and coffee. Tourism is also an important part of the economy of Marangu. Marangu is located about 40 km east of Moshi town, the capital of Kilimanjaro, and is accessible through private and public transport. Social services including markets, shops, banks, and hospitals are available in the community. Options for leisure activities include wildlife safaris to Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, Serengeti, and Tarangire National Parks. Various packages are available depending on the available time and budget, including Mount Kilimanjaro trekking, eco-tourism, and cultural tourism.

Accommodation will be at the community residential house. Volunteers should expect to share rooms. Volunteers are expected to help in meal preparation, dishwashing, and kitchen cleaning. Vegetarian meals will be available.

Requirements

This project is looking for volunteers who have an interest in working with children, doing manual work, and focusing on child development issues. Volunteers should be patient, committed, open-minded, ready to be challenged, interested in other cultures and local realities, creative, and adaptable to different situations. They must also provide proof of having no criminal record against children.

The work camp is organized in collaboration with by Hermete and Rugby Valpolicella. This is the ninth edition of the work camp organized in Valpolicella . One of the goal of the work camp is to create opportunities for sharing and encourage cultural exchange between the volunteers and the local community. This year, the workcamp is part of the META project and will actively involve volunteers in maintenance and improvement tasks for Rugby Valpolicella’s facilities. By joining this workcamp you will contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals: Sustainable Communities SDG #11

Work

Volunteers will be engaged in maintenance and improvement tasks for the rugby field and its facilities. Their contributions will include simple manual work such as painting, cleaning, basic repairs, and other upkeep activities needed to enhance the functionality and appearance of the spaces. The volunteers will collaborate closely with the Rugby Valpolicella staff and local community members involved in the project, fostering teamwork and cultural exchange. Through this work, participants will not only support local sports activities but also become an integral part of a collaborative effort to enhance the infrastructure of a vital community resource. This collaboration highlights the shared values of teamwork and inclusion, creating a unique opportunity for cultural and social exchange between international volunteers and local residents.The volunteers will work approximately 5 hours per day, 5 days a week, dedicating their efforts to making a tangible difference while building connections within the community.

Hermete aims to realize socio-cultural projects for the community and the territory, having quality and innovation as big targets. Hermete highly believes in networking, this is why it operates at a local, national, and European level with partners that seriously and passionately believe that education and culture are essential tools to the development and growth of our society.

Location

The volunteers will sleep and work in the village of San Pietro in Cariano, a village in Valpolicella hills. Here the landscape is mainly rural and is covered with its famous vineyards. The principal activity of the region is in fact winemaking. In their free time the volunteers will have the chance to meet local people, participate in local events, explore and discover the nearby cities, lake and all the things that this territory has to offer.

Accomodation

The group will be hosted in a room from the local school in the village of San Pietro in Cariano, they will have one bathroom and will sleep in the same room. They will have the shared responsibility to cook their meals and manage to keep the place clean in the Rugby area, 600mt from the school.Food for the main meals will be provided according to the special needs of the volunteers and will be a prevalently vegetarian menu.

Come and help set up a care center for wild animals! The TOTEM association welcomes you to an international work camp in sunny Le Pradet, where you can join other volunteers on a project to set up a wildlife care center and preserve local biodiversity. The project is located in the commune of Le Pradet, on land belonging to the Conservatoire du Littoral, and includes 2 buildings to be completely renovated to become care buildings. Program: Construction of dry-stone walls to demarcate areas, construction of animal shelters, restoration of antique furniture (1800), landscaping of outdoor areas, organization of garage sales with the commune to present the TOTEM project and international workcamps, creation of a fresco inside the building... It's a great opportunity to discover the region and meet some unforgettable people!

TOTEM is an association founded by a veterinarian and a veterinary assistant. It works to preserve wildlife by setting up care centers that prepare animals to return to their natural habitat. In addition to saving hundreds of animals each year, this project aims to raise public awareness, train professionals and contribute to the protection of the region's biodiversity. Through this project, the association aims to promote the protection of biodiversity in the South Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur region through several objectives: care, knowledge, protection and education.

Location

Le Pradet is a commune in southern France, located in the Var department (83), 57 km from Marseille and just 8 km from Toulon. It is home to some of the most beautiful coves and beaches on the Mediterranean coast. Your volunteer work will be punctuated by a variety of activities: discovering the region and its specialties, hiking, swimming in the sea, lake or river, nature sports, meeting locals... and much more!

Accomodation

Accommodation will be either hard-standing or in tents, depending on the weather and the group's wishes. The kitchen area and toilets will be hard-standing inside the building. You will take it in turns to prepare meals, in pairs or triples. A budget will be allocated to the leaders, and you'll take part in shopping and meal preparation, giving priority to healthy, local produce. A recipe booklet will be provided to encourage responsible purchasing and sustainable eating.

With the help of members of the association and local historians, you will take part in the enhancement of this emblematic heritage of the town of Eymet. You will learn how to lime the stone walls inside the mill with a mason who is an expert on this age-old technique, and you will work on developing an outdoor patio: weeding, installing a wooden floor and a removable awning, and repairing old walls. With the help of a specialist, you'll learn about the specific vegetation found along the banks of the river and look after it on the mill peninsula. Finally, you will take part in the design and organisation of the built heritage and mills festival, one of the town's great festive occasions.

Eymet is a charming medieval Bastide town in the Périgord Pourpre region of the Dordogne department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France. Founded in 1270, this small town embodies the authenticity and charm of the Bastide towns, the fortified towns typical of southwestern France. Eymet is built around its central square, lined with arcades and bustling with cafés, restaurants and shops. Its rich historical heritage can be seen in the cobbled streets, the fortified church of Saint-Etienne and the remains of its medieval castle, offering a journey back in time. History buffs will also appreciate the half-timbered and stone houses that bear witness to its past. Eymet is particularly well known for its strong British community, which contributes to its cosmopolitan atmosphere while preserving a Perigordian art of living. Eymet's mill, located on the banks of the River Dropt, is one of the most emblematic symbols of this Bastide in the Périgord Pourpre. Full of history, it bears witness to the importance of mills in the medieval and modern economy of the region, where they were mainly used to grind the grain produced in the rich surrounding farmland. You will take part in this architectural and human adventure by preparing the mill for summer events. You'll round off your stay by taking part in the local heritage and mill festival, which is held every year on the last weekend in June to kick off the summer season.

Location

Site visits, nature activities, you will build your own entertainment program with the animators and the other participants. We favor a discovery of the territory and these actors over consumption activities.

Accomodation

You'll stay in tents on our summer camp on the Moulin peninsula. Access to dry toilets and showers on site. Individual tents or tents for two will be provided, as well as foam trekking mattresses. Remember to bring your duvet and a pillow. You will prepare the menus together, meeting local producers and cooking their delicious seasonal produce. You'll share your meals together in the mill's majestic great hall, where you can spend unforgettable evenings afterwards. Don't forget to bring your own gourmet recipes!

Meeting point

The meeting point is Gardonne station. You should get there on 16/06 between 5pm and 8pm. The nearest international airport is Bordeaux- Mérignac and the train station where we will pick you up is in Gardonne. There is a shuttle bus from Bordeaux airport to Gare Saint-Jean in Bordeaux. It takes about 1 hours by train from Bordeaux to Le Bugue, so make sure you arrive at the airport early in the morning or the day before your appointment. If you arrive the day before, you will need to arrange your own accommodation. Departure is on the last day between 9am and 12pm maximum.

YMCA Fairthorne is situated just outside of Southampton and less than two hours from London with a local train station. Generally, our volunteers will receive 2 days off in every 7 so its easy to access many parts of the UK. Situated in a 94-acre land in Botley, it truly is a stunning landscape where volunteers can enjoy the nature. It is not too far away from Southampton which is one of the biggest Cities on the South Coast where volunteers can explore and enjoy the following: • Visit the Solent Sky Museum • The theatre • Southampton Football Club - Go to a game! • Visit the Tudor houses • Travel to Stonehenge

Accomodation

ACCOMMODATION & FOOD: Accommodation is in tents with bedding provided. Food is ‘Canteen style’ with a limited choice but with a vegetarian option. Three meals a day are provided, which includes a cooked breakfast and / or cereals, lunch and a cooked evening meal. Meals are at set times. IMPORTANT: – Even in the British Summertime it can be VERY COLD AT NIGHT – please ensure you bring enough warm clothes. Wet weather clothing and footwear is also strongly recommended, as the site can get muddy and even the summer can bring a rainy day.

HOW TO APPLY: All applicants must request an application pack and send a completed VEF, two professional references, including one from their most recent school/ college or employer. Zoom Interviews: will be arranged individually. After Zoom interview, if confirmed on the project, volunteers need to send a certificate of good conduct /police check from your home country. UK VISA COSTS: All volunteers will need to apply for a Temporary Work – Charity Worker, please be aware that this has replaced the Tier 5 (T5) Charity Worker VISA. The application fee for this VISA is £298 and you can stay for up to 12 months. To apply for the Charity Workers VISA volunteers will need a Certificate of Sponsorship (COS) this will be provided by Concordia at the cost of £25.

LOCATION: YMCA Fairthorne encourage all volunteers to take the chance to get out and explore the UK. YMCA Fairthorne is situated just outside of Southampton and less than two hours from London with a local train station. Generally, our volunteers will receive 2 days off in every 7 so its easy to access many parts of the UK. Situated in a 94-acre land in Botley, it truly is a stunning landscape where volunteers can enjoy the nature. It is not too far away from Southampton which is one of the biggest Cities on the South Coast where volunteers can explore and enjoy the following: • Visit the Solent Sky Museum • The theatre • Southampton Football Club - Go to a game! • Visit the Tudor houses • Travel to Stonehenge

Accomodation

ACCOMMODATION & FOOD: Accommodation is in tents with bedding provided. Food is ‘Canteen style’ with a limited choice but with a vegetarian option. Three meals a day are provided, which includes a cooked breakfast and / or cereals, lunch and a cooked evening meal. Meals are at set times. IMPORTANT: – Even in the British Summertime it can be VERY COLD AT NIGHT – please ensure you bring enough warm clothes. Wet weather clothing and footwear is also strongly recommended, as the site can get muddy and even the summer can bring a rainy day.

Zoom Interviews: will be arranged individually. After Zoom interview, if confirmed on the project, volunteers need to send a certificate of good conduct /police check from your home country. Work

As part of this project, you will participate in morning work sessions to build a wooden movable bar several meters long. With Rémi, a local carpenter-joiner, who will be your technical supervisor for these two weeks, you’ll learn woodworking and gradually create this key piece, which is essential for the festival. You’ll also work on building a welcoming wooden arch, which will help greet visitors and festival goers who come every summer to participate in the iconic Les Nuits Guépiennes festival in Laguépie. This festival, which takes place in July and August, celebrates poetry, literature, music, and the arts in general. If you have some free mornings, you will also create signage to be installed in the village and along the Viaur river, where artists perform. Get involved behind the scenes and work alongside the dedicated volunteer team of “P’Tite Lumière et Cie” to help build and shape this exciting event. Your energy and enthusiasm will make all the difference! You will be involved in constructing structural elements like a movable bar, a wooden arch, and signage essential for the smooth running of this wonderful event. You will also discover the values of the CITRUS association, its operating methods as an international welcoming place that promotes living together, sharing, and diversity. It’s a real little haven of peace. Guided by our supervising team, you’ll experience life in the heart of the association, sharing daily life with the Citrus team, international volunteers, and local volunteers from the Guépienne association.

Location

Laguépie is located in the green and hilly territory of Quercy-Rouergue, near the Aveyron gorges, 100 km northeast of Toulouse, between Albi and Villefranche-de-Rouergue. Afternoons will be dedicated to various recreational activities and discovering the region. You can go hiking, canoeing, visit beautiful medieval villages, or explore cities steeped in history. You can also swim directly in the Viaur River at Laguépie. With the support of the animation team, you will also organize activities and engage in meetings with the local community: international meals, intercultural games, film screenings, dance parties, etc.

Accomodation

You will be accommodated at the CITRUS association's site in shared tents (8-12 people) with floors and beds. There are beautiful composting toilets and solar showers, all built by former workcamps participants. A washing machine is available for reasonable and regulated use. There is no Wi-Fi connection. You will participate daily in maintaining the site and preparing meals. Collective decisions will ensure a balanced diet based on your tastes, dietary requirements, and seasonal local products. Cooking is part of the project, just like the construction activities.

This project is actively working for SDG 1 (No poverty), SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDG 15 (Life on Land), organized with the Cultural and Agricultural Organisation since 2022. This region, once a flourishing tea plantation until Independence in 1948, saw a major shift when the government took over its administration. Some estates were abandoned, others sold, and many were distributed to local communities. The development of hydropower projects in the vicinity led to the displacement of many residents, who were resettled here. Today, tea cultivation continues to be the backbone of the local economy, with most people still working in the fields. Only a handful have jobs in the city or government sectors. Limited access to essential services keeps this area largely unknown to both locals and tourists. The community here also includes South Indian Tamils, who have carried forward the rich tradition of estate work. Despite the passage of time, development has yet to fully reach this region

Location

Located 114 km from Colombo (157 km via Gampola), this rural area is nestled in the mountains at an elevation of 590 meters above sea level. It lies close to two ancient kingdoms, Gampola (17 km) and Kandy (46 km). The region boasts breathtaking landscapes, majestic mountains, and historic temples. Common crops include cardamom, black pepper, and vanilla. You can also spot grand houses, remnants of the British colonial era, built by officers and wealthy residents who once lived here. 8. Terminal "Volunteers are expected to arrive at Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) by June 16. Departures should be scheduled after 8:00 PM on June 26 08. From Colombo, the project site is a 7-hour bus journey, with two transfers. On the first day, we will meet at 9:00 AM at the Central Government Bus Station in Colombo, where all volunteers will travel together to the site. Get ready for a meaningful adventure!"

Accomodation

Our accommodation is a traditional village house where we stay with a local family. The house is equipped with electricity and purified drinking water. Male and female volunteers stay in shared but separate rooms. We are responsible for keeping the premises clean and washing our own plates and dishes after meals. Laundry is done by hand, with clothes hung outside to dry. "The Time for Youth" summer camp will consist of the following tasks: 1. At the small youth energy station point, where we organize daily meetings, we expect you to conduct traditional Cultural Evenings for Latvian youth, where you can share about your country, its opportunities, traditions, and interesting facts. You may also participate in some activities to share your personal experiences. 2. Each year, we organize a charity event by going to the fields and forests to pick flowers, oak branches, and other traditional Līgo decorations to create special bouquets and wreaths under the guidance of a specialist. These will then be donated in exchange for contributions to collect funds for the organization "The Time for Youth" and its work with rural region youth, including at-risk youth—street youth. 3. We have a large charity warehouse in the district, where we provide humanitarian aid to Latvian and Ukrainian civilians, but during the summer period, we will move to newer, better-equipped facilities. We need help sorting clothes from more than 1,000 boxes by size and gender, so they can be placed in the appropriate boxes. About Līgo celebrations: Līgo celebrations are the traditional Jāņi holidays celebrated in Latvia on the night of the summer solstice. These holidays symbolize the time of light, summer, and the flourishing of nature. The main essence of the holiday is to celebrate the return of the sun and fertility. Līgo holidays are associated with various folklore and ritual traditions, such as weaving wreaths from grasses and flowers. A significant part of it is Līgo singing, which includes traditional songs. Eating is another tradition of the holiday, with bread, cheese, and beer served at the table. Many celebrants also watch the sunset and light bonfires. A notable activity is Līgoing during the night, when people dance and sing. It is believed that celebrating helps ensure a good harvest for the following year. Līgo holidays are a clear symbol of community and cultural heritage in Latvia. Līgo is celebrated every year from June 23rd to 24th. You will have the opportunity to experience traditional Līgo - Jāņi in Latvia, creating unforgettable emotions and memories. We will ensure that you have the chance to attend several offered events in the region, including in Riga (the capital of Latvia).

From here, you'll have easy access to explore the city and discover the beauty of Bauska along with its offerings. Accomodation

Cooking will be up to you - the organization will ensure that your refrigerator and shelves are stocked with essential items. We plan to replenish them as needed, but we will not be offering exclusive items. A kitchen is provided, equipped with dishes, an electric stove, and a microwave oven.

Work

Volunteers will help with various logistical aspects of setting up the festival: - assembling and dismantling structures, - loading and unloading equipment, - setting up scenery, - setting up artists' boxes, - participating in waste management, etc. During the festival, which will take place from 27 to 29 of June, the volunteers will be integrated into the different teams (catering and eco-cleaning). After their shifts, the volunteers will be able to enjoy the festival. The group of JAVVA volunteers will have two off-days with the possibility to visit Brussels or other cities in Belgium.

Couleur Café Festival is an annual urban contemporary music festival taking place around the end of June or early July in the city of Brussels, Belgium, organised since 1990. Apart from the music itself there is also a large art exposition, a market with young designers, dance workshops, cocktail bars and food stands from a worldwide variety of kitchens. Festival visitors can camp nearby at Camping Zen.

Location

The site will be located in the Osseghem Park at the foot of the Atomium in Brussels (capital of Belgium). The campsite is only a few minutes walk from the Festival. Possibility to visit other cities of Belgium during the day off.

Accomodation

Volunteers will be sleeping in tents at the camping festival, shower and toilets are available on site. If possible, bring your sleeping bag, mattress and toiletries. Meals (morning/midday/evening) are provided by Couleur Café, with vegetarian options.

WORK : The workcamp is an international experience, giving the volunteers the opportunity to meet young people from all over the world. In terms of communication, the main watchword at the Center is diversity and open-mindedness. This is your chance to discover different cultures, and ideas and exchange experiences. The work accomplished on each camp is very important, the volunteers themselves are the main reason for Agape is able to keep organizing more and more projects every year. Thanks to a group of people living there all year long (the so-called Resident group), but also to the ecumenical and international community coming to help, the center has an effect on its visitors' life. As a volunteer, you will be asked to work with the Resident Group. Every Resident has a sector for which they are responsible (kitchen, cleaning, bar, maintenance,... and so on), in which you will help them, and each of the Residents will be there to help you and support you. You will have 6-7 working hours per day. The Centre will organize every year's national camps in the place and the international group will work in parallel with the permanent residence to guarantee the running of all other project schedules. Volunteers will help in the following tasks: kitchen, meal service (tables and dishes), cleaning, maintenance, bartending, and babysitting.

PARTNER : It’s been ten years that Lunaria and Agape are working side by side to create a space where people can meet in harmony. Agape International Ecumenical Centre is an important point of reference in Italian Protestantism, being for 70 years a place of education and development, theological exploration, political engagement, acceptance and validation of differences. A resident group still lives at Agape throughout the year. Agape was built after the Second World War as a sign of hope and reconciliation between people, thanks to the voluntary work of many young men and women. The dimensions of community and voluntary service remain fundamental.

Location

LOCATION AND LEISURE : Agape is in the Alps, close to Prali commune. Games, discussions, and outings can be organized during free time. Programmed activities (especially in the evening) are most of the time open to the volunteers, as long as they do not clash with work commitments. The place is beautiful but isolated, though you will stay together with many international participants attending the meetings of Agape.

Accomodation

ACCOMMODATION AND FOOD : Volunteers will be host in 3-4 bed bedrooms with shared toilets on the floor. The meals are typical Italian Mediterranean cuisine, with limited consumption of meat for environmental reasons, and the possibility of choices for those who require a special diet. There is a washing machine available for the volunteers.

You'll be taking an active part in the enhancement of local heritage by cleaning and beautifying a well located on a hiking trail. Currently hidden by cinderblock walls and tiles, this wall will be restored to its former glory thanks to your intervention. First, you'll deconstruct the surrounding structure, before rebuilding a protective roof and consolidating the existing one. At the same time, you'll enhance the well and its immediate surroundings through meticulous cleaning. Accompanied by the villagers, you'll discover a warm, festive atmosphere, typical of the lively villages of the Dordogne.

Location

During your stay, you will have the opportunity to participate in local festivities and cultural events, to discover the region and to organize your program of activities with the other volunteers and the animators.

Accomodation

You'll stay in tents on our summer camp with its lovely panoramic views. Access to dry toilets and showers on site. Individual tents or tents for two will be provided, as well as trekking foam mattresses. Remember to bring your sleeping bags and a pillow. You will prepare the menus and meals together, taking into account the season, everyone's needs and the pleasure of sharing together. Don't forget to bring your own gourmet recipes!

Meeting point

The meeting point is Lalinde station. You should get there on 21/06 between 5pm and 8pm. If you arrive the day before, you will need to arrange your own accommodation. Departure is on the last day between 9am and 12pm maximum.

Work

Volunteers will be involved in various activities throughout the week culminating in concerts and a fashion show on June 28th. Their tasks include cleaning public spaces, assisting with a pilgrim walk and workshop at Fewet Farm, supporting a record attempt for the most people wearing skirts in the town square, and helping with the event setup, ticket control, and visitor guidance. Throughout the week, volunteers will contribute to the smooth execution of events while fostering connections between local students and international volunteers. The overall physical demand will be similar to standard outdoor activities, such as carrying small or moderately heavy objects, walking longer distances, and cleaning public spaces. Regardless of the weather the main event will take place so a rain coat is required.

The project is organised in cooperation with the Broumov Foundation, which focuses its resources on the cultural development of the city and the whole microregion. The goal of this workcamp is to strengthen connections between the local community and volunteers from around the world creating a space for cultural exchange, building interpersonal relationships, and mutual inspiration through work, events, excursions and workshops. Broumov is also a candidate for the European Capital of Culture for the year 2028, and this project is an indivisible part of its success. At this project, you are actively contributing to the achievement of United Nation Sustainable Development Goal 11 Sustainable Cities and Communities.

Location

Location of the project: The project will take place in the medieval town of Broumov, which is surrounded by walls from medieval times and known for its baroque features. The town has a population of approximately 7500 residents and is located on the border with Poland in the Northern part of the Czech Republic. Nearby the acommodation, you will find ATMs, stores, supermarkets, pharmacies, an info centre, a cinema, a theatre, and touristic paths. Possible free time activities: During free time volunteers can primarily do outdoor activities. Volunteers can make a trip to the rocks nearby, which are national natural reserves. The local monastery also hosts collective meditations each Tuesday morning. On the 25th of June, there is a meeting with the community and an option to attend the ‘Experience Brewery Differently’ event. June also hosts a variety of other cultural events which volunteers are welcome to join. Study part: Educational activities will connect volunteers with local traditions, culture, and environmental topics. They will visit Fewet Farm to learn about regional products, meet local animals, and join a waste recycling workshop. A lecture on Broumov’s history and its monastery will highlight its cultural and spiritual significance. A community event workshop will cover planning, fundraising, and public relations. An environmental workshop, linked to the city cleanup, will focus on waste management and nature conservation. These activities will be both educational and interactive, fostering cultural exchange and community engagement.

Accomodation

Volunteers will be accommodated in a guest house of the monastery, where participants will sleep in one big room with the rest of their peers. There is access to shared bathrooms and toilets. Bed sheets are included as well as free WiFi. There is no washing machine. Accommodation in the Broumov monastery is a great experience - you can experience how Benedictine monks used to live but you have to respect quiet hours after 10 PM. Volunteers will cook their own meals using a fully equipped kitchen.

Requirements

The extra fee covers costs of the project not covered by public funding (for example support for campleaders, administrative costs of iNEX-SDA). The fee is paid in advance electronically and non-refundable unless proof of severe obstacle (for example illness) is provided.

Timetables may change for summer. We will provide more transport details in infoheet later. Feel free to use our application IDOS for all kind of transport around Czech Republic (buses, trains, public city transport). To have a general knowledge how to ge to the meeting point: From Prague to Broumov (district Náchod): journey takes 4hours. There are a direct busses or trains (one change).

Accommodation is in Broumov Monastery in a very peaceful place, it's importnt to respect the environment of the place. The monastery garden offers a space for contemplation, meditation, and walks.

The Summer in the City VT aims to support families facing financial difficulties by providing creative activities to children through experiential processes and workshops, enhancing their skills and talents. The volunteering team involves working with children (ages 6 to 12), daily for approximately 5 hours during their summer holidays at their school. You will support the educational activities defined by the educators (sports activities, workshops, artistic events, theatrical plays, and many more). Volunteers are also very welcome to even implement their own activity ideas. What the program offers to volunteers:-Covered expenses: Volunteers will receive a daily allowance (pocket money) of 6 euros per day, groceries for cooking will be provided by ELIX and volunteers will be responsible to cook along with their team leaders and other volunteers. Further to the covered expenses volunteers will be insured during these two weeks, however it s important to hold or apply for an EHIC (European Health) card.-Support and guidance: Trained leaders will be on the spot and will provide 24-hour support to the volunteers, while qualified educators will contribute to the volunteers training for the program s implementation.-Participation certificate: Volunteers will receive a participation certificate upon completion of the program, detailing all acquired skills.-Skill development: Volunteers will gain valuable experience and skills in children s creative activities, which can enhance their resumes and help with their professional development.-Cultural exchange: Through collaboration with volunteers from different countries, participants will have the opportunity to learn about different cultures and make friendships with people from all over the world.-Personal development: By participating in the vt, volunteers will experience something that will help them develop their confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills.

Location

The area where participants will stay is the Olympic Village of Athens. Near at the area volunteers can find supermarket, pharmacy, hospital, caffes and bars. Participants will have the opportunity to experience the everyday life of Greece; the available sea is 29 km far away and the centre of Athens is approximately 18km far, they may attend different events during the period of their stay like excursions, familiarity with the local community, group activities that will help foster socialization among the volunteers and give a special identity to the programme.Part of the experience in this project is to get to know more about other people s countries, culture, and background. We will organise Circles of Interest during some evenings where you will have the opportunity to participate in team building activities and games.

You will stay in the premises of the school that the Volunteering Team will be organised. The school is situated approximately 20km far away from the centre of Athens, specifically in the Olympic village. The school will be ready and well organised to accommodate you. Please remember to bring your own matt and sleeping bag. The school has separate bathrooms and showers, as well as a kitchen. Food will be prepared and cooked by the volunteers which will share the various collective tasks and prepare meals together.The facilities among others include a conference class, various sports facilities (soccer, basketball, volleyball, tennis).

Requirements

This is an ESC project, supported by the European Solidarity Corps programme of the European Commission. Compared to the usual workcamp, some main financial and administrative differences must be underlined. This project is open to 18i30-year-old participants. You do not have to pay any (participation) fees to participate in the project. You must be present for the entire duration of the camp in order to get your pocket money (6euro/day) for common leisure activities and travel expenses. There is a maximum amount of financial support for your travel expenses. The cost of travel is returned to the participants after the completion of the programme. Volunteers will have to complete a participation report, submitted online through the ESC portal.After the selection of the volunteers, a criminal record is needed. The summer in Greece is usually warm, although dry. Work

Kriusilla is a small farm dealing with beekeeping, vegetables growing and forestry. Volunteers will be doing some forestry work (cleaning and weeding forestry, planting trees, building wood construction) but also harvesting vegetables, collecting honey, cleaning and improving bee houses, possibly helping to build new ones. There can be also some light odd jobs in the house, building and gardening. The working day will be 5-7 hours depending on weather conditions.

Kriusilla Farm is one of them. This is the organic farm dealing with traditional bees-keeping and growing vegetables, also with forestry - all promoting sustainable lifestyle. This camp is proposed for volunteers who appreciate and share eco-values, want to learn more about it and to help hard working people. This camp follows positive experience of the camps for 20 years.

LocationThe farm is located in Anija Community of Harjumaa County. Distance from Tallinn is about 40 km. More information on www.visitestonia.com Leisure timeThere are a lot of leisure time possibilities in the area for people enjoying nature and interested in sustainable way of living. There are many interesting locally important natural sites in the area. There is Jagala River 4 km away, picturesque lakes about 20 km away and the sea 40 km away. Short trips in the area are planned by hosts. It is easy and quite possible to go to Tallinn on your own in the free time to enjoy its attraction and numerous opportunities flourishing in summer period. Besides there will be some local festivities in the villages nearby www.voose.ee; www.viikingitekyla.ee ; www.korvemaa.ee/en ; https://anijamois.ee/ which can be attended together with the hosts.The first shift in June coincides with Mid-Summer Festival, which is the largest celebration in Estonia, so those joining it can experience this Estonian ancient tradition.

Accomodation

The accommodation conditions on the farm will be simple but decent. Beds are provided. Please bring your sleeping bags. Toilets and showers are available. There is kitchen with all necessary equipment for cooking. Volunteers will be served food cooked by the hosts but are asked to assist cleaning.

Special requirementsYou have to be open-minded and be ready to adapt to the simple conditions of the rural life and be ready for the farm work, which can be hard sometimes. NB Obviously, the volunteers should not be afraid of or be allergic to bees.Participation feeWe ask participants to contribute 50 Euro towards the costs of general administration. This fee has to be paid by bank transfer before the beginning of the camp. If you cannot make bank transfer please contact your sending organization for solution.
