Lunaria is preparing a workshop that will be held in Rome, next February. The project is managed by a cooperative we work with since 2006, Binario Etico, and we will responsible for part of the training sessions.
” The focus of this workshop is to share the art of reusing computers through the advanced testing of hardware to specific Linux installations. The lessons will be about technical skills but will also concern managerial, economical and legal issues related to the whole lifecycle of computing items.
The workshop will not concern only technical aspects but will also focus on fundamental aspects of our changing society, from the e-waste and its environmental threats to digital divide and new forms of social inequality, in order to share thoughts on a wide range of topics concerning consumption, production and disposal of technologies.”
