The Project

BABI promotes the direct participation of migrants, refugees and citizens of foreign origin in defining inclusion policies

There is a close connection between the spread of xenophobic and racist discrimination, the ability of public decision-makers to design effective “inclusion” policies, and the level of direct and proactive participation of migrants, refugees and people with a migration background in the design and implementation of these policies.

Direct and unmediated participation in defining institutional policies on social inclusion and the ability to represent claims and advocacy (from local to European level) can represent an element of discontinuity that brings social cohesion, rights and solidarity back to the center of public policies.

The project created and tested innovative training methodologies and tools to qualify the knowledge and skills of social workers, activists and trainers from associations, strengthening advocacy actions on institutions to affirm rights, against discrimination and for social inclusion.
