The camp will focus on the volunteers to understand the social and cultural aspects of the community they work. The camp will consist of community service, Learning, Culture and Evaluation Community service. FSL-India, (Field Services and Inter-cultural Learning - India) is a youth development organisation focused towards Inter-cultural Learning through Voluntary Services set up to promote Global Understanding by providing opportunities to the youth to work in different cultural contexts to appreciate Inter-cultural learning. Thereby, reducing boundaries and bringing people to work together in harmony by understanding the Inter-cultural aspects focusing towards development of people and society through youth mobility and volunteerism. Founded in the year 2000 and legally incorporated in 2001, FSL-India is a Trust under Indian Trust Act 1882. It was formed with the support of like-minded National and International Organizations with a primary purpose to bring about global transformation, progress and growth through youth exchange programs. FSL-India has been running work camps all over India since 2001. Over the years, FSL-India has developed a strong network of local partners and local volunteers in the regions where we conduct our camps. The Volunteer camp will be run to provide an opportunity for volunteers to do a community service clubbed with Cultural exchange which will give a greater learning experience. The camp activities will focus on understanding the social and cultural aspects of the community they work. The volunteers will be given experience through interactions, workshops, and meetings with University students and Government officials to understand the development issues. We believe that the experience will give the volunteers a global perspective of the community and the possibility to be change-makers in their own community.
Location: Jaipur Rajasthan, North India, 308kms from Delhi Leisure activities: 1. Famous forts in Jaipur that have grand character are Amer Fort, Nahargarh Fort and Jaigarh Fort as the top priority in the list. 2. The City Palace, Jaipur is a royal residence and former administrative headquarters of the rulers of Jaipur. It was constructed between 1729-1732, in Jaipur, as it paints the picture of heritage and rich culture. 3. One of the top attractions in the pink city of Jaipur is the camel safari. You may visit locations like Kalwara village, Tunga Battlefield, the city's mango groves, Madhogarh village, and others with a camel safari tour of Jaipur. 4. Mehrangarh Fort, a huge hilltop fort in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India, was built about 1459 by Rao Jodha, a member of the Rathore branch of the Rajput clan and the 15th Rathore ruler of Marwar. 5. Jaisalmer popularly called the “Golden City”, Jaisalmer is one of the most famous destinations in the state of Rajasthan. Situated in the westernmost region of Rajasthan, the town is known for its location right in the middle of Thar Desert. Tourists love going out for a Desert Safari amidst the vast sand dunes of the desert
Accommodation: At a rented guest house or hostel, with shared rooms Food: North Indian vegetarian and non-vegetarian food will be provided for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Safe, filtered water is available for drinking.

With this project we aim to reverse the process of inorganic farming and bring more and more farmers do natural farming, the way they had all along been doing traditionally. We are already making a small effort in our campus for demonstration purpose and would like to further promote and educate local communities on natural farming practices on increasing basis. The project relates to SDG-02 (Zero Hunger).
Depending on the weather, volunteers would do vegetable farming, remove weeds, make organic compost and put it to farms, renovate the trails to farm, prepare dung sprays and pesticides to grow healthy crops. Be prepared to get your hands dirty and do physical work. Besides natural farming, volunteers will be given an exposure of other humanitarian projects, meeting with women groups and physical activity in RUCHI campus and work in communities or slums.
Rural Centre for Human Interests (RUCHI) is a community development organization with ever increasing focus on youth development and intercultural learning through voluntary service. RUCHI got registered in 1983, under Indian Societies Registration Act as a non-political, non-profit making voluntary organization.
Ruchi campus, located near Bandh village. It is 30 km from Kalka town and 60 km from Chandigarh city. The area offers a unique opportunity to live with nature in a peaceful environment.
Volunteers will live in the RUCHI campus in shared accommodation. All minimum basic amenities will be available with library facilities. Vegetarian food will be served. A cook will be there but volunteers are expected to help him and occasionally cook their own meals and self-management is required. Sleeping bags are not necessary but required for personal hygiene.
Interest in agriculture, environment and healthy food. Physical fitness, Flexibility and High level of motivation is required.

Location: Kundapur is located 440 kms north-west of Bangalore, near the Arabian Sea and 91kms north of Mangalore Leisure Activities: An 82-foot statue of Anjaneya, commonly known as Hanuman, the monkey god is worth a visit, as is the Kotilingeshwara temple, an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to the god Shiva. Kodi Beach, one of the most spectacular in Karnataka is where you can catching amazing sunrises and sunsets. Climb up the winding, spiral staircase to the lantern house to enjoy the panoramic view of the ocean and the town beyond from the lighthouse. Gangoli is situated at the confluence of 5 rivers and the harbour is a busy place where you can interact with the fisherman community. Maravanthe is unique in that the Suparnika river flows on one side of the road, with the beach on the other, the only one of its kind in India. Kollur Mookambika and Murundeshwara temple where you can view the 2nd largest statue of Shiva, are popular pilgrim spots. Boating on the backwaters of Kundapur, visits to a cashewnut, rubber or tile factory are some interesting ways to spend your free time. You can also visit Indian families to exchange views on your cultures and participate in the cultural programs of the local community

Through this project we aim to provide volunteers with an enriching (rural & urban) experience where they would participate in our ongoing rural community development initiatives aimed at uplift of marginalized people and later move to McLeodganj, Dharamshala where Tibetan Government in exile has its head quarters. Volunteers here would get chance to increase their understanding about Tibetan Culture, their movement and their ongoing struggle to keep their identity alive. Relates to SDG-11 (Sustainable cities and communities).
During 1 st week volunteers would join us in our headquarter which is based at a rural location where they have opportunity to live & experience a typical mountain village culture, their lifestyle and during process join our ongoing initiatives like NFE, women empowerment, NRM (Protection of fresh water sources), organic farming etc. During 2 nd week the group would move to Mcloedganj in Dharamshala which is a touristic town and also Secretariat of Tibetan Government in exile. Over herethey would visit Tibetan, monasteries, museum, schools and join language classes with Tibetan monks. There is a likelihood that we may take up some cleanliness work or some other activity. Otherwise, this week will be more of touristic and culture sharing.

(1 st week) RUCHI Campus at village, Bandh of Solan district and (2 nd week) in the town of Mcloedganj in Dharamshala, a tourist hub. In the first week, Nearby Kasauli town is a major attraction. A visit to Shimla will offer an opportunity to see high Himalayan Mountains and British architecture. During 2 nd week, the volunteers will visit Dharamshala, the headquarters of Tibetan Government in exile. Opportunities will be there for short and long treks in the mountains. After the camp, if they like, volunteers may visit Golden Temple in Amritsar, Punjab.
Volunteers will live in shared accommodation in both places. The minimum basic amenities will be available. Vegetarian food will be served but in the town you will have access to non- vegetarian meals as well. A cook will be there but volunteers are expected to help him and occasionally cook their own meals and self-management is required.
Interest in understanding different life styles and issues with a sharing and learning ability, High motivation & open mindedness is a must.

With this project we aim to do our bit to reverse climate change and preserve biodiversity of our surrounding through education and actions. Overtime we have assisted in planting more than 10,000 trees in last 5 years. Along with plantation we also educate local community about carbon emission and environmentally sustainable actions which we could apply. The project relates to SDG-13 (Climate Action) and SDG-15 (Life on Land).
Depending on the weather, volunteers would plant new trees, take care of already planted ones, remove dead saplings, chop firewood, do soil working, composting, clearing weeds and bushes, preparing holes for future plantation and make polythene green house fully operational. Since environmental education and protection is the focus of the camp they will be expected to create awareness on issues like global warming, climate change, Carbon emission, sustainable lifestyle etc. while visiting local communities. Besides tree plantation, volunteers will be given an exposure of other humanitarian projects, meeting with women groups, physical activity in RUCHI campus and work in communities or slums.
