ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION IN PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SCHOOLS Awareness of environmental care is promoted through non- formal activities with educational learning dynamics with kindergarten, elementary and high school students, as well as with parents. REFORESTATION OF PUBLIC GREEN SPACES We promote the care of the environment and the reforestation of public green areas in recreational parks, as well as sidewalks in the community where local and international volunteers participate. In addition, it is a joint work with strategic allies such as the district municipality of “El Porvenir” and Citizen Security.

The activity will take place in the district of Porvenir, which currently has 220,115 inhabitants and is characterized by its shoe production. It is one of the most populated districts of the city of Trujillo, capital of the department of La Libertad and traditionally known for its typical marinera dance.
Trujillo is a Peruvian city, capital of the homonymous province and the department of La Libertad. It is the third most populated city in the country with 1,148,668 inhabitants in 2022. It is located on the northern Peruvian coast on the right bank of the Moche River, in the Moche Valley. The metropolitan area, of which it is a part, extends over an urban area of 164 km2 and is made up of 9 districts. Trujillo's climate is dry and temperate, with an average annual temperature of 19° Celsius, which makes it so deserving of the title of the city of "eternal spring". During the summer season the city reaches 32 °C and during the winter the temperatures are usually 13 °C.
All volunteers will stay and cook in the home of a volunteer from the Trujillo branch of the BVBP team, with basic facilities (shower, bathrooms, etc.) It is important that everyone brings their own sleeping bags
VOLUNTEER’S REQUIREMENTS Be flexible and adaptable. To be respectful and committed to the social project, Willingness and ability to work as part of a team. Easy to interact with children and teenagers. Experiences in artistic and cultural activities (dances, music, theatre, etc.). English is the official language at the workcamp, speaking Spanish will not be necessary.
PARTICIPATION FEE The participation fee for the workcamp is 240 Euros and covers simple accommodation, food and project expenses, local transportation during the project (in the community), administrative and management costs, certificate of participation during the camp and communication before, during and after the camp. Please note that this does not include travel expenses to and from the camp or airport pick-up. We advise all volunteers to ask us for advice when planning to book their ticket from Lima to the community.

As part of this program, the volunteers will Villa Sucre - Mato, a community located in the heart of the Andes in the Ancash region, opens its doors for a unique experience to create a space for dialogue and exchange with international volunteers and the local community to meet, share and learn from each other. Through cultural activities, educational workshops and collaborative projects, we seek to foster mutual understanding, appreciation of cultural diversities and strengthening of local identity. The celebration of diversity becomes an essential component in this project, promoting respect and appreciation of the traditions and ways of life of both parties, the project aims to build lasting cultural bridges, creating enriching experiences that will last beyond the time of volunteering and contribute to the sustainable and harmonious development of this Andean community.
The District of Mato - Villa Sucre, is located in the Ancash region, province of Huaylas in the Cordillera Negra, at 2158 meters above sea level, in the Andes of Peru, 480 km from Lima and 10 minutes from the city of Caraz, has a population of approximately 2190 inhabitants. With a temperature between 16o and 25o C, which characterizes the community for having a pleasant climate all year round.
Volunteers will experience a full immersion in the life of the community in the Andes, living with local families, this accommodation will provide an authentic connection with the culture, allowing volunteers to share not only in projects, but also in everyday and traditional moments. Meetings, coordination and group activities will take place in the village community center. It is important that each volunteer should bring his or her own sleeping bag.
Volunteering in the project requires above all the ability to be flexible and adapted to the local culture, and the ability to work in a team. The ease of interaction with children and young people will help you a lot, and experience in cultural and artistic activities is also very welcome (music, dance, theater, etc.). Peru is a Spanish speaking country, and communication in daily life is in Spanish, but this will not be a problem if you do not speak Spanish, you can participate in the activities, interact and integrate in the community and in the process of the project, we are sure you will learn or improve your Spanish.

Volunteers will perform various activities, according to their skills, experiences and interests, and the performance of the program activities of the institution CEDIF, for example: recreational activities such as singing, painting and educational games, educational and sports activities and love for nature (reforestation). And with the elderly to revalue valuable traditions and ancestral celebrations, such as gastronomy, music, dance and singing, agricultural and handicraft techniques.
As a team we want to create awareness of love for the children of our town, especially for the most vulnerable who are in the " CENTER FOR INTEGRAL FAMILY DEVELOPMENT - CEDIF" in the city of Aguaytía. The CEDIF houses daily 40 children from 3 to 10 years of age and 3 older adults, who are abandoned, suffered some family violence or whose socioeconomic condition is extreme poverty. In addition, the project will develop an approach and experiential knowledge of life in the jungle of Peru. During the project, the volunteers will be in permanent contact with nature and tourist sites in the province.
The project will be carried out in the jungle, in the City of Aguaytía, Province of Padre Abad, Department of Ucayali. The province of Padre Abad is one of the four that make up the department of Ucayali in eastern Peru. Its capital is the city of Aguaytía. To travel by land (Lima Aguaytía): From the capital of Peru, Lima to Aguaytia by land is 16 hours, crossing the Andes of Peru. To travel by air (Lima – Pucallpa and then Pucallpa – Aguaytía): From the capital of Peru, Lima to Pucallpa takes 45 minutes and then taking a land taxi from Pucallpa to Aguaytía takes 3 hours. Aguaytía is a welcoming city, tropical climate, diversity of tourist sites.
Volunteers will stay in a community house with basic facilities (shower, bathrooms, etc.). Please note that each volunteer should bring a sleeping bag, insect repellent, summer clothes and work clothes (field shoes) in August we are in summer and temperatures reach 35°C.
